OK so I went to check this out and found out it's just one of 15 individual episodes celebrating games, same people that done that love and robots on Netflix. On prime search Secret level
I think I watched the 1st one of those. I just watched the warhammer episode of this secret level series and it was superbly done if a little short on 20mins Check the episodes out they're all different games
Day off the Jackal 6.8/10 not worth the hype, good at times but certainly not worth a second season. Disappointed they went with that.
Watched Spy on Netfix - easy viewing with some genuinely funny moments and Rose Byrne is hot as **** ... 7/10
Day of the Jackal - 8 Enjoyed it. Pacing was good, Redmayne plays the role really well, ending took me by a bit of a surprise too. Venom The Last Dance - 6.8 Not bad but not amazing, probably one of the better Marvel films post-Avengers though, which says how **** Marvel’s got.
Subservience on Netflix - Megan Fox plays an emotionless android - which definitely plays to her acting ability - rather good actually - worth a watch 7.5/10 ...
In the Netflix Top 10 films tbf ... otherwise not likely I'd have bothered ... but wasn't half as bad as I'd anticipated...
The general reviews are that it's terrible but each to their own. Try Ex Machina as a good version of that premise. I think it's on Amazon at the moment.
Wouldn't watch it again tbf - but open your mind, give it a go, and give your review - I've sat through much worse
Rewatched and then caught up with House of the Dragon very good so far and a worthy prequel to Game of Thrones.
Heretic - 7/10 Predictable twists but at the same time pretty original plot. I wanted it to continue exploring the inner workings of religion but then it just got bored of itself and switched to a standard slasher horror, which was a huge shame. Hugh Grant is fantastic in it.
Suzume Japanese animated film about a schoolgirl who discovers that she has to close wormholes opening up and destroying Japan. Beautifully drawn and animated, typically bonkers Japanese film if you're into that sort of thing.
I wouldn't have given this more than a 3/10 tbh. Casting was ok but the script was atrocious and the storyline so damn predictable. There's a glut of these films and TV series exploring the new vistas and ethical dilemmas/temptations AI technology brings in its wake. Sadly very few are doing justice to what is it ultimately a technological revolution that will affect all of humanity. It's a gold mine of material but no one is tapping into it. Older films like Blade Runner and Terminator still piss all over anything modern studios have put together.
