Here is the first line of the story anouncing Hodge's appointment. 'Margaret Hodge, a long-term campaigner against global corruption, has been appointed as the UK’s anti-corruption champion.' This is George Orwell par excellence. Doublespeak, Newspeak in one sentence. Hodge a wealthy women as far removed from left politics as it is possible to be. Her main occupation is supporting and lying on behalf of the most disgusting state in the world. Consider also that I am quoting from the Guardian, a newspaper I read and subscribed to for 50 years until I reluctantly realised how it had mastered double speak. LIke the BBC they still have decent contributors but editorial/news is with a firm political agenda that can be characterised as 'The Status Quo'
Whatever happened to the Grauniad who ran a full-page article in something like 2006 on the BBC defaulting to the Israeli version of events due to being **** scared of a call from Israel House? Which featured a statement from the BBC which unwittingly confirmed what the article suggested?

My only gripe is that Israel were given the opportunity to make this decision. The Irish Government should have expelled them a year ago. Oh well, hopefully they won't slam the doors as they leave....
