    Supposition

Well the Skunks have been inundating our board with their suppossitions that O'Neil is out of touch with modern football.
They talk about him as if he has been locked in a windowless cell, in a cave in Aphganistan for 15 months.

What I sense is fear, as they are more worried than they care to admit, over the appointment of MON.

Bruce's appointment at SAFC didn't worry them as he actually had a terrible track record before he came here. They knew he was a championship manager at best (His love of the Skunks was just a plus.).
Where as in MON we have a manager with a proven track record of delivering the goods usually under difficult circumstances. MON is a manager who's name is bandied about when ever ANY of the top jobs become available including the England job. (His love of SAFC is our big plus.)

    Now for my own supposition.............

You know I like a good conspiracy theory. :p

I have mentioned on numerous occassions about our players not looking right under Bruce, lots of headshaking and walking off the pitch looking forlorn.

Let me take you back a few months!

Gyan. "Mr Bruce I'm not very happy with the way we are playing football at the moment. You seem to enjoy lumping the ball into the corners and have me chase the ball!"

    Bruce. "Tough!"

Gyan. "What about playing two strikers, so we can share the work load and of course increase the goal chances."

Bruce. "It's my way or the highway bonny lad!"

    Gyan knocks on Quinns door.

Gyan " Mr Quinn I have tried to talk to Mr Bruce about the way we are playing football and he ignores me, we could be so much better if we weren't so negative."

Quinn. "I understand what you're saying Asamoah, but Bruce is the manager and we have to be seen to stand by him."

Short sees Gyan looking miserable, leaving Quinns office.

    Short. "Problems Gyan?"

Gyan. "I love it here and the fans, but the way we are playing football is soul destroying and it's not just me the other players are starting to feel that way."

Short. "I understand son, but I have to seem to be giving the manager a fair chance to improve SAFC."

Gyan. "IMHO things wont improve as the manager doesn't seem to have a plan B!"

Short. "Yeah I have noticed, so has Niall. But we don't want to be seen as getting rid of him, as a knee jerk reaction. Especially after giving him a new contract!"

Gyan. "So what am I supposed to do? Keep chasing lost causes like a headless chicken. Some of the fans have already started giving me stick!"

Short. "Look! We had an offer from some Mickey Mouse arab club, which would be worth a fortune. They are desperate to sign you. What about if we loaned you to them for awhile they triple your wages and SAFC gets a canny wedge too?"

Gyan. "What happens when I come back? If Bruce is still here."

Short. "Leave that to me, I have asked Niall to move to a different position in the club and I'm taking over as chairman.
I have already been in contact with MON who seems very interested to come here. He has a long term affection for SAFC."

Gyan. "I thought he was going back to Leicester?"

Short winks and just taps the side of his nose.

Like a good conspiracy as well so why not, IMO MON was certainly contacted along time before Bruce was sacked.

So the ones thinking it a good appointment cancel out the ones with their drivel about him being out of touch?

Nice one MR its now come out that MON was contacted 2 months prior to Brucies sacking so the writing was on the wall a long time ago, they were giving Bruce enough rope to hang himself, as conspiracy goes i think its close to the truth and Gyan will be back, if and when he is scoring goal i do hope all will be forgiven, as the whole truth has still not come out.

Why do you care so much about why we think of MoN?

This is like the 100th time you've been fuming at mags saying he's out of touch with modern football , must have hit a nerve somewhere?

Get over it and just support your club instead of posting threads about what Newcastle supporters think about your managerial appointment.

You do know you are playing in a few hours , right?

Totally untrue, but you keep your myopic view on just what you want to see.

I said the Skunks with their suppositions that MON is out of touch, not every Skunk.

My conspiracy theory is more valid than yours. <ok>

You make the classic error of tainting a whole set of supporters with the same brush.

I saw a couple of posters suggest that O'Neils time out of the game (not been working at any club a la Daglish) might mean he would take a few months to get back up to scratch. How many Skunks have been "inundating your board?" I counted 2 or 3?

Most think he is the best manager you could have hoped for, and are pleased that there'll be a more competitive Derby! I personally don't like to see North East football struggling. Please don't delude yourself!

I wouldn't exactly say we're scared when we still hold a 15 point lead over you, and you don't have a decent, fully fit striker. Maybe wait until next season, and if O'Neil buys you a striker and gets rid of the ****e that Bruce brought it, maybe we will be slightly more wary at the beginning of the 2012/13 season <ok>

Still think you'll get top 10 this season now. You may be 2 points of the bottom, but you're also 5 points off 8th, and if MON gets some money to strengthen in January, the only way is up!

I honestly couldn't care less about your managerial appointments. Last time I checked I supported Newcastle, so what any other team does doesn't interest me at all. Some people think it's a good appointment, some people think it's a bad appointment, some really don't care. Way to go for tarring us all with the same brush there <ok> I didn't care what you thought of Pardew when he was appointed.

For what it's worth, I think he's a decent manager. But that doesn't mean you're automatically sorted and going to shoot up the table. Like with Pardew, time will tell <ok>

Good luck today, get a draw please ;)

    We played yesterday though...

Instead of previewing your game , being excited about it , doing some formation porn , all some of you can think about is what WE think of O'Neill.

Why is that so significant to you?

ACTUALLY we couldn't give a **** what you think, however as the OP says some Skunks namely you and your mates, infest this board for a wum and get upset when we fire back, claiming its banter.......... bollocks you know your safe on your own board as the other little cock Badger will delete, so its only on here you cant get your own way, now **** off ****.

You're spending the hours leading up to the game arguing about what we think about your own managerial appointments? Really? <laugh>

In one comment, you have shown your point. People come on here, and in a reasonable way, put a point to you, but you respond with an irrational, unlettered response.
