No, I'm prepared to put myself out and to step forward on behalf of all season ticket holders and accept that money from him. Everyone can then relax as the money will be safe.
It's only an investment if you plan on selling to other people. If you eat all the stock yourself well.....
Really frustrating, probably should have sold him sooner. Having said that I think he did enough for us in his time here that I won't criticise him for injuries that aren't his fault.
Could they be his fault though? Is he looking after himself. Does he go out all the time or is he a family man. It’s bizarre that some players just get injured all the time. It makes you wonder if it really is psychological. Same with Willock. Just seems to be injured all the time. And then Messi and Ronaldo miss virtually no games at all.
There is that. Also some people are just lucky (or unlucky) when it comes to genetics and how that impacts both the likelihood of injury and the recovery time from injury.
Mitchell is a case of jury out. Collective responsibility. Collectively we ****ed up. Howe may be to blame in some instances for poor selections/ tactics but that is mitigated by what he has available. First team fully fit are capable of top 6. The rest of the squad is bang average. That isn't his fault. I think ultimately certain platers have let him down badly. Bruno, Joelinton, Gordon, Schar and Isak in particular. They are far better than what they have shown this season. As for Mitchell - you cannot publically call out the recruitment and not expect a reaction. He's clearly caused friction. Plus, pursuing Guehi all summer was negligent. Again, not on Howe.
True. When you look at his injury history it’s absolutely crazy. It’s a wonder he can walk. Having said that I’ve broken my shoulder my collar bone my knee my leg and my ankle. Playing amateur football. And I’m still playing 5 a side 3 times a week at the age of 44. My body is broken. But I’ve never had the kind of injuries he’s had. All of his seem to be muscular and not bones. Maybe he’s too intent on having physical maturity.
This is what happens when you don't sell your knackers. We were mad to reject Bayerns offer for Trippier.
We should have sold Wilson in the summer. He will never be the player he was and inuries have finished him. We need a replacement in January. Jonathan David seems to be heavily linked. Get him.
