Swanny change the record. What do you expect in two days on the training ground? I thought he was being very harsh after the game. Boring even.

Drameh and mcloughlin cost us the last game he played in. Mcloughlin managed it on his own last time out. He played better today though. We need to get Walter ball out of our system

Credit to Ruben for getting some desire into the players, they all worked really hard and you can't fault the effort tonight.

Unfortunately the quality just isn't there and it's so sad to see, we could've been about 4-0 up by the time they had a sniff. Need some real quality bringing in up front in Jan.

Haven’t read back through the thread so don’t know if it’s already been posted but did anyone else see the exchange between Pedro and Selles when he subbed him off. Looked like Pedro was having a fairly heated discussion with him and was going to head down the tunnel until Selles told him in no uncertain terms to get himself on the bench. Will be interesting to watch that dynamic.

Problem is, a bottom half side is normally **** & sits back trying to catch the opposition on the break, unless we’ve miraculously improved, we’ve struggled to break teams down like that.

Theres literally **** all in that, looked like he’s saying “ **** me gaffer, nearly scored over there “
Or “ if that idiot had given me the ball I’d of scored over there “….

I thought tonight was a significant improvement from what we have had to endure. You can see the players are still lacking confidence. A point is a positive, stops the run of defeats and gives something to build on.

If people don't think that was an improvement then I don't know what to say

Obviously we lack quality in the team but we all knew that

I read it another way... I though he came off and said I was good to carry on... I figured Selles then said we have another game Saturday... he was smiling at the end of it...

Drameh is not perfect by any means. But he’s a massive step up from Giles.

FWIW, I don’t rate McLoughlin either. We need Jones back asap.

Overall, it was nice to see most players fighting for the cause (literally, in Palmer’s case) and a more attacking intent in possession.

As others have said, we just lacked quality. I hope Selles sees the weaker links and replaces quickly. I am much more hopeful after tonight. UTT.

He was the same with Walter until he met him. Proper pandered to him thereafter.

I thought we played really well and deserved the win. But given Bedia’s goal was a handball, perhaps a draw was fair. Night and day compared to the crap under Walter. Much more positive - and much more fight, epitomised by Longman. Yes he missed a great chance early in, but he worked like a dog and with that sort of spirit we can escape the drop. Jao Pedro played really well too.

Did not see the game but Coyle was rated our best player on Whoscored followed by Longman and Hughes who had the same score.

Really enjoyed that. Much more the style of football that I enjoy. I love fast paced, pressing football.

Palmer was excellent, Slater’s running stats would have been crazy but wasn’t brilliant with the ball. Fair play to Kamara too, I’ve been his biggest critic this season but he worked much, much harder.

Also worth remembering how little that side has played together.

Defence - that's the second game those four have started together isn't it?
Midfield - Never started a game as that 3.
Forwards - Have they started a game together? Might be the second time?

All being coached by a manager for the first time.

It was a definite improvement and something to build on.

That was another good performance. We've again shown we can more than match a decent side in this league. It was also almost a textbook case study in how keeping it tight and staying in the game makes it easier to score as I've been banging on about. Because we hadn't conceded, the game stayed open and we eventually made enough chances to just about bundle one in. If Watford had gone ahead, they'd surely have shut up shop and we'd have found it much harder to score.

The equaliser was surreal. Just like Blackburn's goal at the weekend it was so against the run of play it was hard to believe. It felt so much like we were going to win 1-0 it just seemed totally wrong for that ball to end up in our net out of nowhere. It was the kind of goal we'd concede last season a lot; where we didn't recognise the danger until it was too late, and came to regret not bringing someone down earlier in the move.

We've looked a decent side for three games now. We don't belong down there with the dross at the bottom and we won't finish there. I think tonight will give them a bit of confidence even though the result was gutting in the end. The interaction with the fans at full time will have gone down well both ways and made them feel a bit more loved. Walter was an absolute moron for neglecting that side of things.

A chink of light at the end of the tunnel, but if we don't radically reduce the chances to goals ratio we aren't going to score enough to survive.

Drameh is good ( as far as left back goes) for one or two games but then his standards drop dramatically. Jones has been sub par under walter too. Mcloughlin was a capable stand in for greaves but has been awful these last few games hes played. Thought he was better tonight though. This is on Acun. What he saw in walter I have no idea. But hes set the club back to when he first started. Tonight was better but we are a long way off it. last years team would be near the top of this league
