I think the first target should be a good striker, hence: Defoe (maybe costly but worth it) Pav (wants away, can score goals) Papiss Cisse (freiburg doing poorly, might get him cheaper) Landon Donovan (supposedly wants to return to prem) I dont rate agbonlahor personally, i think hes just got pace with no end product Then a left mid: MGP (maybe getting on, but a tank) Hoilett (striker or winger) Krancjar (good player IMO) For defensive problems (LB + CB): Kolarov (might be a bit too good for us, but id make an enquiry) Onouha (would love to see him back here, think hes a better player at CB) Fabio (fergie likes the twins, however i think could part with this one) Samba (the mans a tank, Bramble mk.2) To help fund this with the war chest supposedly in MON's hands, a couple of players may have to be sold: Titus (was amazing for us, however recent accusations are starting to become repetitive) Catts (been playing well recently, but colback + meyler are similar players and have potential to be far better IMO) Id be happy with a january transfer window getting at least 2 of the signings from above, be even better if it can be done without selling anyone just yet

No dissrespect lads but whats with the Blackburn links...I personally wouldnt take any of em...well maybe Samba. As ive stated in another thread this morning, several sources are linking MON with a one million move for Andy Johnson at Fulham.This to me would make perfect sense..he's be cheap, decent wages and would be a cheap stop gap in the Jan transfer windown where the availablity of the big name strikers will not be an option. If this is the case then I reckon MON is looking to stabalize the club in the short term before hopefully buying big and pushing us on from next season onwards

We need an attacking central midfielder who can carry the ball and play a killer pass, we need that so much. That and a striker should be our priority, if Andy Johnson was going for 1 million we should definitely go for him.

Here is a novel idea, why dont we trust the manager to determine what we need come January, what seems missing under one manager could be unearthed by another, he has this month to have a look at the situation.
