    Competition - Sky Bet Championship
    Venue - Home Park
    Date - 10 December 2024
    Kick off - 7:45pm

Following their deserved 1-1 draw at Luton, next up for Luke Williams’ Swansea squad is a trip to Plymouth tomorrow night.

Last Saturday, Matt Grimes' fine finish secured a deserved point for the Swans as they fought back to draw 1-1 with Luton at Kenilworth Road.

Luton took the lead somewhat against the run of play as Elijah Adebayo finished sharply after taking advantage of Ben Cabango's underhit backpass.

Hatters goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski produced some excellent saves to keep the hosts in front, but the Swans’ pressure eventually told as skipper Grimes fired home from a corner routine.

Both sides pushed for a winner as they looked to get back to winning ways, but the spoils were shared thanks to some fine goalkeeping, particularly from Kaminski.

Parity does little to change the fortunes of either side, with the Swans finishing the contest 13th in the Championship, five points and five places above the Hatters.

Plymouth’s scheduled match against Oxford last Saturday fell victim to Storm Darragh so they will go into tomorrow’s game totally ‘fresh’.

The Swans have played Plymouth on 86 previous occasions, winning 35, losing 33 and drawing 18.

In the corresponding match last season, the Swans ran out 3-1 winners:

Turning to tomorrow, I think that the Swans will return to South Wales with a point following a 1-1 draw. <cheers>

You'd hope we're good enough (now) to go somewhere like Plymouth and not get beaten. A draw sounds likely under the circumstances Taff, cheers.

I’d like to think we will win with room to spare but I’m just not sure.

A hopeful 2 goal victory for us without the clinging on.

Does Whittaker play for Plymouth ?

Jisung Eom returns to the Swansea City starting line-up as one of three changes for tonight's Championship fixture at Plymouth Argyle.

The South Korea international makes his first start since returning from a knee injury, while Jay Fulton and Florian Bianchini also come into the side following the weekend draw at Luton.

Gonçalo Franco, Ronald and Žan Vipotnik are the players to make way as they drop to the bench.

Lawrence Vigouroux continues in goal behind an unchanged back four of Josh Key, Ben Cabango, Harry Darling and Josh Tymon.

Fulton slots in alongside captain Matt Grimes in midfield, with Liam Cullen operating ahead of them.

Eom and Myles Peart-Harris are on the flanks, with Bianchini leading the line for the visitors at Home Park.

Swansea City: Lawrence Vigouroux; Josh Key, Ben Cabango, Harry Darling, Josh Tymon; Matt Grimes (captain), Jay Fulton, Liam Cullen, Myles Peart-Harris, Jisung Eom, Florian Bianchini.

Substitutes: Jon McLaughlin, Žan Vipotnik, Gonçalo Franco, Nathan Tjoe-A-On, Cyrus Christie, Kyle Naughton, Nelson Abbey, Ronald, Azeem Abdulai.

Plymouth Argyle: Daniel Grimshaw, Bali Mumba, Nathanael Ogbeta, Kornel Szucs, Callum Wright, Mustapha Bundu, Lewis Gibson (captain), Darko Gyabi, Andre Gray, Adam Randell, Brendan Galloway.

Substitutes: Conor Hazard, Jordan Houghton, Julio Pleguezuelo, Ryan Hardie, Michael Obafemi, Adam Forshaw, Rami Al Haji, Tegan Finn, Victor Palsson.

Plymouth Argyle's highly-rated forward Morgan Whittaker will miss the rest of the year after a foot injury. Last season's top scorer limped off in the second half of last month's 2-2 draw with Luton Town.
