I like a good slogan. My pub is next door to a chapel where Alcoholics Anonymous meet. I wanted to put a sign outside saying "when you have finished, why not come in for a pint" but those with better taste prevailed.
You banging on about the lack of government funding for the state of the roads and pot holes? Lardi - ban him for his constant political posts please
@Charles No Likes Hawtrey does get criticism, he's controversial, but says it how it is, long may that continue
I'm still wondering why this thread has been bumped after exactly 5 years (to the very day) Maybe it's the optimistic title. Sad that we're still in League One after all that time has passed
I see posts from many years ago commenting on @TC (Lovely Geezer) tendency to disappear when we win & they lose. With posh tickets for both Charlton & the Spanners, TC was the sort of fan Methven had in mind when he introduced half n half scarves. @TC (Lovely Geezer) still has some way to go though to catch another person who supports three clubs
It’s a shame that the mutual and long established dislike that @ElfsborgAddick and @Dick Plumb1 have for each other has resurfaced tonight Come on guys …bury the hatchet for now (preferably not in each other’s backs).
On a serious note @ElfsborgAddick , we are going to have to let you go if you keep antagonising other valued members including @Dick Plumb1 For many years 606 consisted of you & your mate @Smudger603 posting about your Farmer Giles, along with 3000 word essays from Lardi about Covid & lockdown. We are gradually building this forum back to its previous strength of 20 years ago. We have some excellent new members, painstakingly recruited, and we don’t need our 0.5 pain in the jacksy upsetting our serene progress towards 13 members by Xmas. Final Warning
I don't want to further annoy @Dick Plumb1 but I thought Elf's comment was not really over the top. I think he only meant it as a friendly poke. There was a bit of lobbying against negativity here back in the early Summer, when some were hoping SE7 really would have a good closed season transfer window. That was just after NJ had more-or-less saved us from a relegation scrap after all. There was some hope in the air. I don't think Elfs has a bad natured grudge against Dick. He just likes a leg-pull. I hope things can be patched up.
