Weve been promoted 3 times from the championship

You dont have all 46 games as some feasts of spectular football

Not sure why the fact blackburn were worse than us is any sort of positive

Its those sort of **** away games that get you in the playoffs

Its more a worry for us we cant capatlise on a teams total off day

We could always hope that some at the bottom area might get points deductions...

I've seen little from any team we've lost to this season that suggests any of those games are no hopers, it's not like last year where there were 4 or 5 very strong teams, this year everyone is v much bearable.....if you have some tactics and ability......

54 points would stay up. It’s only happened to one team before and I don’t foresee it taking that much.

Agree with your logic that it’s not coming from 13 home wins however.

Tend to agree that 54 should be enough, that's partly assuming someone gets cut adrift like Rotherham did last year. If not it might come down to three teams on about 52 or 53 or 54pts, then its down to GD.

On average 49 keeps you up. Last year it was 51. My only worry is the teams around us have a goal scorer to hang a hat on now Pompey have Bishop back fit

That's not my point, of course we will get couple of surprise away win, lady luck will smile on us, but that will be it. At home we need to get 7 wins at least, 3-4 draws etc. but at least we should show that we are not a pushover at home, that should be the foundation of comeback and survival.

My point is we can't rely on away games anymore, they are not looking good, very though fixture there.

We’re going down. There aren’t three teams worse than us in the division.

Out of the remaining games in December, I can’t see us winning any. In fact, I’m struggling to see where we will get a draw.

We need a striker in jan one who hits the ground running.
I’m not sure you can get one in jan and I’m not sure we’ll attract one in our current state

If you had a player with the technical ability of seri with Slaters legs, he’d be far too good for us!

I provided example, Gabriel Sara arrived Norwich for 6M pounds and rumors tell Gala already rejected 25M offer for Jan from Premier League. So we can find someone similar, why not, we spent similar numbers in summer for wingers.

I always believed if center group of team (CD,CM,CF) is good, rest of the team can be filled with mediocre quality players and they would still look good.

And I think 9 of those were in our mini winning streak - not checked back, which leaves 8 paltry goals in 16 games. Totally pathetic!

To be fair on current state I don’t think there are 3 teams worse than us. That being said I wouldn’t have thought Birmingham were the 3rd worst and they went down

I believe Preston, Plymouth, Oxford, Portsmouth, QPR are all worse team than us in overall quality, but our squad lost their self confidence already, anything can happen at this point, it can be better or even worse.

We can compromise and find someone who’s decent at both or somewhere in the middle, but Seri’s quality on the ball was top, and if he had the mobility and athleticism to go with it, he’d be playing for a top team somewhere. We’d have to pay a lot and they’d have to be young with potential to develop into that player and it’s just a lot easier said than done. I think zambrano showed signs of being a good balance between the two but even then, he wasn’t as good as seri on the ball and didn’t seem to have the same engine as slater. Shame though because he’s a big loss
