You can’t tell someone on a forum to stop having opinions What’s the point in anyone coming on here if they can’t do that?
Has absolutely 0 to do with whether he knows Patterson is a stone overweight I’m debating with him, whether he’s qualified or not the points he’s raised are simply impossible for the medical team to have known re Browne and samed. The poveda point I can see where he’s coming from but he doesn’t know Patterson’s weight, where the club want him to be and if they’re letting him play that heavy
Makes no difference. He’s still allowed to disagree with him whether he’s qualified or not. It’s not like he’s being sent Patto’s stats.
Nothing he’s said has anything to do with qualifications I’m not sure how that means my opinion is any more wrong than his. We’re just having healthy debates nothing wrong with it
For me I thought we played some really good attacking football in very testing circumstances so a lot of credit goes to the staff and players for that. Watson will get a lot of the credit but I also thought Alese has a good game and Neil was excellent today as well. It has been said that at some point we will score heavily against someone and today was nearly that day, but for Johanssen we may well have had another 2 or 3 goals. On the whole Patto, Rigg etc debate I agree somewhat with Prehab on some of his observations but not all of them. At the moment I am inclined to trust the club that they are doing what is right for these players and their progression. Patio is bigger this season but for me it looks like he has hit the gym as his chest and shoulders seem bigger but I do not think he is overweight more he has bulked out a little. Poveda I am on the fence about I think I will only form a stronger opinion on him with more time as I do not want to judge on his time with previous clubs as it can skew opinion in the wrong direction.
I just thought the post about not posting opinions and the one made to you about the other guy being qualified, were trying to silence posters. Almost like the people who made the posts thought their opinions were worth more.
Never said there's no room for disagreement. So don't know where that's come from. Just said a qualified person was expressing their opinion.
I try pretty hard to give players the benefit of the doubt but Patterson looks nothing like a professional athlete. That could mean a whole range of things are true, he's got flabby genes, he doesn't take his diet/training seriously enough, he's carrying an injury, etc etc. He looks anything but lean or athletic though.
I wasnt there, I knacked my calf and knee on Thusday/Friday, I dont like how steep the steps are in the PC at the best of times, why doesnt that hand rail go all the way with gaps every now and again?
Reading between the lines it sounds like Poveda might be struggling with this move to the north east. (Strange injury reasons and whatnot) Powers that should get him out doing the hospital runs with O’Nein and co to see if we can draw him in a bit. I’m not too worried about Patterson yet though and probably agree with the thought that Samed was brought it with a minor injury and that’s happening now couldn’t be foreseen. Roll on Tuesday now though ! PS the main question that should be on everyone’s lips is are we all dressing in festive attire for the 21st match with Norwich !?
Of course mate. When it's physiological related I take a keen interest as it's my subject area. ( Well was for many many years). When I say Patto is too heavy, it's also considering the muscle mass aspect. He has filled out massively and I feel the training regime in the gym needs to change. Would be better for him to trim down a touch and be less bulky. Just seems sluggish to me this season with being so top heavy. He is a good keeper but it's just an observation I have seen this season. I am surprised that people are excusing the samad one. When you sign an injured player you never know the true extent of the injury, the history, you just see a scan. You run the risk of the injury being worse than first feared or not getting the rehabilitation right due to not knowing the history, and it re occurring. That has happened here and has been injured for 4 months. It's a perfectly reasonable thing to say we have got that wrong from a sport science / injury perspective. Poveda has struggled with the championship and lengthy spells out. So it's not a surprise he has been in the sidelines since his signing. That's more of a club decision than a medical / physio thing though. My worry is that one of our 3 midfielders are going to suffer a significant acute injury due to workload and fatigue. I don't thing there will be a club in the league who use the same 3 players only in CM. Specially given their age. It's a massive risk.
Anyway, back to the match review. Decent debate last night. We had so many chances didn't we! A win on Tuesday would be a massive follow up. Bristol are not a bad team at all but we should have some increased confidence with getting the big 3 yday. 21st. I don't do dress up unfortunately. Will go and enjoy the game then get back for the boxing card.
Surely there’s room for a daft Santa hat. I’ll be adorned with a Santa hat and my shiny new SAFC Christmas jumper oh brother in Christ I forgot about UsykFury 2 ! Is it going to be a late one ?
Not significantly. Think they have scheduled it for 23:00 UK time. So probably be 11:30 after the massive risk walks and performances ! But if there are beers sunk at the game, it's probably classed as a late one!
It’s the cold fresh air walking to the match and back that does me in the night but I won’t miss this fight for the world.
Just get the alarm set for back up. Or better yet, download the ring walk app and add it as a fight. Auto blasts your phone when they fighters are out for ring walks only. Saved me many times in the past!
