OK. Haven't really signed many blockbusters this summer though have you?

And I know, I meant you as in Hull, not you personally, but it's very typical of other fans to make threads like this and then complain that we have a superiority complex of some kind.

No, I was very happy actually. I wanted him out for over a year. He is a very overrated manager who is going to get you nowhere. Oh and BTW, I'm not jealous of you. I hated your team before you came into money.

    Fortunately not. <diva>

The Steve Howard point, as I say, was disguised well. The arrogance with which you made the other points in the same post was uncannily similar to the 'humourous' way in which you referenced him.

    Anyway:

    1. I can't even be arsed to argue over the Bullard point, I've spent that much time discussing the poodle-headed twat over the past 3 years that the very mention of him makes me die a little inside. <laugh>

    2. Again, I've got no reason not to be honest - Leicester are a bigger club than Hull. So? Who really cares? I don't, and I've said it before on these very boards. But just because you've won those few League Cups and spent time in the top division whilst we were in Two or Three, whatever, it hardly makes us tinpot in comparison. Compared to Tottenham or Manchester United or Liverpool we're tinpot, for sure. But I would never call York City a tinpot club, just because they're non-league and have never been as successful as us (in terms of league position, etc), or because they get crowds a fraction of ours.

    3. The fact is, Leicester City massively overpaid for the likes of Matt Mills (who I rate, but not at that bloody price) and Jermaine Beckford (who I have always said is a donkey unworthy of a 'Free' price-tag) in an attempt to buy their way out of the league. Yes, I know, we can now argue about how no players are worth the prices they are now sold for, etc, and how all teams attempt to buy success simply by paying money for players they feel will enrich the team... But please, for the sake of what little sanity we have between us, let's not go down that route...

    4. You should come round to my house, chum, and savour one of my wonderful creations <whistle>

(PS. I mean a curry, not one of my children or pets)

    5. Clearly. I hope we have somebody lined up who can do a better job, but I'm also willing to give Barmby a chance. As I've mentioned before, if he turns out to be a disaster, we move him into another role and hire someone. If he's a success, we give him the job. So far, we've managed to turn in a performance that Southampton claimed was the best they'd seen from an opposition side this season, despite losing, blown a 2-0 lead at home with 15 minutes to go and lost, won 2-0 away and then beaten our old manager's new side with a team of players almost entirely signed by him. It's an interesting start, if nothing else.

    6. I'm not one to speculate about what'll happen in the future when it comes to football. I'm a 'take each game as it comes' kind of fan. I did predict Leicester for promotion, and whilst I couldn't attend today and so can't judge, I'll stand by that. I think Pearson and Leicester go together like fish and chips. Pearson and Hull went together like fish and dog-****. That doesn't say anything about either him or us, sometimes things just don't work for certain clubs, players or managers.

    He's still boring though.

My opinion is perfectly consistent: it may vary from fellow Tigers fans but my own is my own.
I never particularly liked the guy, but he built a fantastic young team and got us results, even if it was the most boring football I've ever watched.
I wouldn't say I'm happy or unhappy he's gone. All I can say is that, at least I don't have to listen to him talk any more. Especially after a loss. He's extremely unprofessional and spits his dummy out in front of the media. But like I said, results was all the mattered so I let that slide. But Barmby is carrying on in the same vein, with a more attacking philosophy, so I'm hardly going to complain. We'll miss Steve Walsh more than we'll miss Nigel Pearson.

Hate to burst your bubble, but our owners are much more wealthier than yours. Yours are worth just over £180m, which fair enough, is a ****ing lot of money. You are what is known as a wealthy club.

Our owners personal wealth is £67m, their company £220m. Do the maths mate. Our debt has just about been cleared. So all this nonsense about you being the richer club is codswallop. Your squad might be worth more, but it certainly doesn't mean it's better or will perform better over the course of the season.

Seriously though, today's performance (being based in Leicester, I couldn't go for work reasons) I watched online from start to finish. Aside from the goal you scored, Gulacsi was barely troubled. You defended well after going down to ten men, but it cost you possession and you constantly resorted to long balls and counter attacking. Sticking 9 men behind the ball is going to make it hard for anybody to score and once you equalised it was clear Nige was playing for a point; we saw that a lot last season. I was disappointed with LCFC today, suppose a red card does change a game but if you are so good, then why did you play so defensivley for 60 odd minutes? Because you couldn't break us down. Hell, you made Dawson look decent. You gave the ball away far too much and in the end were punished for it; we aren't going to score every time we have a shot (you have Matty Fryatt to thank for that) but we have a long range weapon in Koren which, if you give him the room, he will put to good use. It wasn't a fluke, he's done it a fair few times (against you at the KP last season actually) and hopefully will keep on doing it. We passed the ball well, our hold up play was good and our defenders didn't panic (except Dawson's throw in concession). The signs are there for a very promising season.

I wish LCFC all the best for the season (except in March when you play us again), you're a good side and you'd get long odds on yourselves to finish outside the play offs.

Some of your fans can though, enough to make a thread like this, and there's a few others. I couldn't give 2 ****s about you lot either but sadly, you clog up the Leicester board non-stop.

    1) I love curries, even more so when cooked in a restaurant

    2) Leicester has more hindus and sikhs than muslims doesn't it? Although religion shouldn't be brought into debating football. I don't care what colour or creed you are, only your football support.

    3) Pearson is a brilliant manager, we hate him now for the way he treated us. It's like being engaged to Beyonce and then watching her walk out on you for Jay-Z (I speak from personal experience!).

    4) Can both sets of fans stop the daft name calling?

Just spotted the Rosenior emoticon :afro:

Well said, I posted on another thread saying that most of the comments on here from Leicester fans were pretty sensible but a few clowns have crept onto this one.

In trying to get away from all the silly squabbling I think you should look to the future. Leicester should think about why their owners bought them. My view is because they could invest in the club, get them promoted and sell at a profit. Will the new buyers have enough money to invest in the club? How long will Nigel Pearson be around for?

The owners of Hull City have their roots in Hull and look like they are planning to be around for a long time. The manager has his roots in Hull and wouldn't leave for bigger wages and a bigger transfer budget.

Being a Hull City fan I am grateful for what Nigel Pearson did for our club at a difficult time. I don't blame him for leaving to get the same money in six months than he would get in two years at Hull.

Nick Barmby is inexperienced as a manager but, like Pearson, he has the respect of the players. He has to build a backroom staff (Nigel has already got his ideal backroom staff in place). Barmby, from his interviews, comes across as a thoughtful and intelligent manager - I am sure Nigel is the same - and is relaxed with the media which is a great improvement on Nigel.

In football nobody knows what is around the corner but I would think that Hull City are more likely to have the same owners and manager in 18 months time than Leicester City.

By Sven's team I assume you mean the team that was assembled over the summer that was meant to have you lot at the top of the league? <doh> Delighted with the 3 points, but no different to taking 3 points off anyone else.

You Leicester lot are pathetic! Talk about bitter, we beat you fair and square, your team are ****, and your owners aren't even the 3rd richest in the league. Southampton, Doncaster and us all have richer owners. Now **** off back to your holes and sofas on your front gardens in Braunstone.

Bye bye thanks for the 3 points :emoticon-0136-giggl

You pair of idiots have just lost the plot.. The fact is paying huge wages does not guarentee you are going to get good football. That was totally vidicated by the fact we outplayed you yesterday. How many of your so called super stars will stay if you don't get promotion in May

Struggled, I don't think so the only goal you scored should of been disallowed cause the original shot from Nugent was from an offside position. The end outcome was only a matter of time and it was only because of your keeper the score wasn't greater.
