Just got around to watching the highlights.

Worth a watch to see how many chances were created by good build up play but wasteful finishing. Good comeback though

 

Goalless draw at home to Bournemouth for the under 21's this afternoon - should have won that game.

 

Anything other than a loss against a Prem club under 21 side is good, particularly against Bournemouth whose style will replicate their senior team.

Asking for a friend , was Reindorf playing?

 

No - and he wasn't on the bench either.

 

Just a thought: if Reindoff has now leapfrogged him why not play Kanga in one of these games to at least give him more than the 10 minutes he was getting for the first team?

Hold that thought: that would mean one of the other youngsters wouldn’t play which isn’t fair on them given Kanga wouldn’t offer anything that we don’t already know ie he’s just not good enough.

 

Saving him for Watford.

 

City beat Colchester across there 0 - 1 yesterday - Cody Twose got the goal.

City now gone top of the PDL table with that win.

 

I take it their leading No 9 didn't play either. Great squad effort.
Purse still with the 1st team. At least up to 23 we have continuity and a strategy.

Now if we just had a strategy from there into the 1st team squad and management team above.
The fans forum should suggest it to the board.

Nah - whilst Purse is away "assisting" Riza, Bloxham has shown who's the brains behind the under 21's.

 

Under 21's in action this afternoon against QPR. Both Reindorf and Cian Ashford start.

 

Tsunoda playing at left sided defender - very useful left footer. Playing very cool and controlled stuff with the youngsters.

 

1-0 to City on 35 minutes - Cian Ashford with a penalty.

 

Reindorf putting himself about up front but getting no joy. He's seems more capable of falling over his own feet than scoring.

Kpakio on the right and Tsunoda on the left are quality.

 

2-0 City..........Cian Ashford again with a great strike.

 

Reindorf trying too hard maybe.

Good to see Kpakio and Tsunoda doing well. Is that the first time we have seen Tsunoda in a City shirt?

 

QPR pulled one back now 2-1 but we're by far the better team.
