Not once have these pricks held their hands up to any of their multiple questionable decisions. They'll all sneak out the back door holding their bulging wallets with both hands.
This is hilarious, but sums up the apologist, low ambition mentality that a handful still have within the fanbase. Apparently it’s now “cakeism” to expect the whopper telling SMT to keep to their promises, and properly fund a promotion challenge. Throw in the now familiar narrative that “it’s the fans fault” - a “entitlement “ narrative long advanced by SR, Mundell, Aaronaldo & Co, and you have a full house over there today. It wasn’t the fan’s who shafted the club last Summer, having bought almost 9,000 STs based on the words of Methven & Rodwell that a promotion challenge was the minimum requirement this season.
PS - Absolutely no surprise to read on the pro SMT forum that Methven supports Man United charging kids £66 for a ticket to get in. Methven & the Glazer family are fleas habituating the same rat. In it for what they can get out of loyal fans.
"Fan demands are mad to me. You can't demand your team out spends their budget for the best players whilst also complaining about ticket price rises. They're not mutually exclusive. Fans expect owners to lose their money for the entertainment of the fans". A hilairious post from Aaronaldo, you are a moron. Owners are in it to make money, if you reduce the prices you get more fans in! Basics.
I know football fans detest being called 'customers' but there is a parallel. No failing business can ever blame its customers. But blaming Charlton fans is all they ever do on ITTV. A symptom of their ingrained irrational hatred of CL. Losing £5m a year? Blame the board execs, blame the senior managers. Don't blame the customers, or outside investors (assuming the latter are on the level).
The majority over there would not give a f*** if we went down. Zero passion and just a nice day out at The Valley for them. As for going to away games , this is where they have no idea of the mindset of the away fans who spend thousands a year traipsing around the country.
I’ve just read Grapevine’s latest posts. I’m not saying that they were long winded, but I was clean shaven when I started, and I look like Uncle Albert now. Grapey is suggesting that the SMT didn’t give Jones the ammo this Summer, something that was very obvious to most after we signed the two Luton Pensioners on a Payment Plan. (BOGOF ?)
I don’t read his posts anymore. Did he mention that he was a businessman. He is a windbag and a bore.
Cakeism. Hmm. Does that mean discriminating against cakes? Admittedly, I once sneered at a rather sorry-looking Eccles cake.
