Last night, Bromley were poor. They had very little possession and only a couple of shots on goal. Bromley will be very lucky to get many more points this season (( maybe another 3 in early January !! )) - and are likely to struggle to avoid an instant return to non-league.....
And yet, Gillingham were far worse !

I am struggling to avoid using bad language to describe the 'performance' by Gills in last night's game... It was certainly good fertiliser for the grass !... and to describe it as dreadful would be too kind.

So - why have Bromley struggled to beat other teams. .... perhaps because they haven't played many as bad as Gills...... And, the sad reality is that the players Gills have are not good enough - and have proven this claim by the rubbish that has been served up virtually all season --- please don't forget that Gills have lost to A
ccrington, Bradford Newport, Harrogate, and Bromley - all teams lower in the division at time of fixture - and only managed a 1-1 draw with bottom club Swindon - despite Gills having a man advantage for 0ver 80 minutes .

Please don't tell me that we have had a couple of good results against top ' higher' placed teams --- THOSE teams have recovered from a 'blip' against the mighty Gills - who in October could have been 9 points 'clear' at the top --- instead of 12 behind and going backwards....... Without those early points from the first 4 matches, Gills would be perilously close to the relegation places. .... Could last night's fixture be 'replayed' in National League next season ?

For whatever reason, Gills are rubbish at present. 7 defeats from the last 9 games, and suffering, in my opinion, from 'distance ownership'. The 'team' that the Gallinsons are employing to run and progress the club are not up to the job, inadequate and remind me of the phrase "whilst the cat's away, the mice will play'.
The club needs a direct hands on approach which knowledgable people at the helm.

Couldn't bring myself to post last night after watching what I did. Time and again this team fails to deceive. It felt like we'd gone back 9 months in the style of play last night and falling into the same traps we did under Clemence only this time Hutton no longer wants to go forwards and Nolan is a massive downgrade on Mahoney.

We looked threatening in the first half with Clarke but each time he got himself into a good position he'd pull it back for Nolan to lift a ball straight into the keeper's hands. Why doesn't the lad take it first time? Same against Harrogate, its almost as if Clarke doesn't believe in himself to deliver a ball into the box. Saying that, Clarke wasn't our biggest issue. Too many across the pitch not doing it. Coleman had no enthusiasm to get forward at all. The small passes at the back to then get closed down to rely on having to hoof up to Nevitt who was towered by the Bromley defence was a waste of time, especially when there was no midfield chasing after it. Wyllie runs around a lot but his touch and decision making are still non-league. Masterson doesn't want to be here and played like it. Hutton looks like he's downed tools. Ehmer is getting worse with each passing game and I've been one of his biggest advocates for so long. Ogie still gives me zero confidence on the ball.

Bonner's substitutes made no difference really and the only standout performance came from Jake Turner's nose. This bunch of players clearly don't care, most are earning far too much money for what they actually produce. I'd rather go down Mark Stimson's route of just signing Conference players if they're at least going to run through walls for us unlike the current wastes of space we have.

Stats showed just on 70% possession for last night....which equates to the cube root of sweet FA if nothing is done with it........:emoticon-0101-sadsm

Apparently Gills had 16 shots as well as more possession.
Anyone who saw the game will not believe that.
Just shows stats can be very false

Well no relegation for Bromley. Now just 3 points off the playoffs. As for Gills. Well we are definitely relegation candidates now
