I've been researching (Wikipedia)Ruben Sellers and I see he's a manager that's never been a professional player. That'll be overlooked until he loses two matches in a row.
....because the PL stopped it. Which is even worse, they didn't do enough checks to ensure they would pass the fit and proper owners test.
I think that's probably fair enough - but it doesn't alter the fact that the Allams agreed to sell to a group which failed the test. That flies in the face of them saying they would only sell to good owners. They clearly didn't do enough checks to do that, otherwise the PL wouldn't have stepped in. It doesn't matter - in a business deal the sellers don't really have the responsibility to do checks really - but I don't like it when people say one thing and do another.
I don't really understand why you're getting so mad Chazz. The fact is - the deal got so far as the Premier League got involved. When they didn't like the deal - it all comes apart. That means they didn't do enough checks to find out whether they would pass the checks or not, which goes against them saying they were finding good new owners.
17:26BARRY COOPER A little update In addition to Ruben Selles arriving at City, it's our understanding two of his staff from the SCL Stadium will be coming with him. James Oliver-Pearce and Tobias Loveland, two of his trusted coaches, will follow him to the MKM Stadium, joining Andy Dawson and Erbil Bozkurt, who remain on the coaching staff at City following Tim Walter's exit.
Key word being allegedly, it was also allegedly said the money received for KLP came off the price of the club that Acun actually paid, and what about Jacob Greaves and Philogene?
He was still an 'asset' sold by the current owners, which was an answer to the original claim posted on here that the allams 'sold all the assets'. The current owners have already sold over £50m worth and no-one has raised an eyebrow.
