please log in to view this image Thursday 5th December 8.15pm Premier League Vitality Stadium Richarlison, Vicario, van de Ven, Moore and Odobert are still out. Romero probably is, too. No update on Solanke, but Gray's injury was supposedly just a dead leg, so he should be fine. Bentancur serves the third game of his ban, which still may be either 6 or 7 games. Lineups for each side's last league game: Spurs: Forster; Porro, Dragusin, Davies, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Maddison; Johnson, Son, Werner. Subs: Austin, Spence, Reguilon, Gray, Olusesi, Williams-Barnett, Bergvall, Kulusevski, Lankshear. League form: WLWLWD. Bournemouth: Kepa; Smith, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Kerkez; Adams, Christie; Brooks, Kluivert, Tavernier; Evanilson. Subs: Travers, Aarons, Hill, Huijsen, Billing, Winterburn, Kinsey, Ouattara, Unal. League form: WDWLLW. Ref: Simon Hooper. VAR: John Brooks. TV: Prime Video. How would you like to line up for this one and how do you think we actually will line up?
Wouldn't be against rotating both FBs and Son, they're the three I feel are most danger of picking up muscle injuries.
I have a very bad feeling about this game. I fear it's where the wheels start to come off. Much of that can rightly be blamed on injuries, but we didn't play well enough when at full strength either so it's hardly a new problem. Forster Spence Dragusin Davies Udogie Kulusevski Bissouma Sarr Johnson Solanke Son
I was thinking much the same, but would love (fitness allowing) Gray to start over Bissouma and not I am not against Reggie starting on the left either (but I think Ange is!).
Spurs will be playing about 3 games every 8 days, from now to Feb 1, with a one week respite before FA cup R3. I am not convinced the manager has got squad rotation going sufficiently well, injuries/bans considered or not. Viewing could become very painful indeed.
Gray, Sarr and Kulusevski gives us an average age of 20 in midfield. Too inexperienced imo. If anyone makes way for Gray, it would probably have to be Sarr. Absolutely criminal that we didn't invest more seriously in midfield. We sold Skipp and Hojbjerg and made very little effort to replace them.
I’d like the same though I wouldn’t even be surprised if both Spence and Reguilon still don’t start. No idea why Spence committed to a new deal to be honest unless he’s just happy picking up more money(?).
Tough game but those are generally the ones we do okay in! So hard to predict this season (and not just spurs). The makeshift defence and Forster in goal has shown it’s not yet the major issue people were worried about but solanke hopefully being back is massive and assume kulusevski will come back in.
Hopefully the lineup makes more sense than Spotify's interpretation of what I listened to this year...
There is something in the argument that the experience of Davies is something our defence lacks as good as VDV is. I would argue that Davies positioning more than makes up for his speed. I have little doubt VDV is on his way to the top but he is still of limited experience and that is important in a defender.
In the prediction leagues I have predicted a spurs win in 1 and a draw in the other, with my predictions record a Bournemouth win looks very likely tonight.
Played a lot of games so I guess he has been 'rested' should have come off on Sunday. Pleased for Gray but Spence is clearly no more in Anges plan Regulion
Judging by Ange’s comments on him, that seems definitely the case. What an absolute waste it was giving him a new deal and keeping him here.
