Newcastle clearly playing better than us at the moment, but I think for most of the half we've been the slightly more likely to score. I wouldn't settle, things could change again shortly.

 

Personally think vvd was very lucky he knew what he was doing.

 

It feels odd... Quansah is better at CB and Gomez is better at RB. Not sure why Slot swapped them.

It's not so much what's happened so far in the half, it's more the pattern of play since conceding

 

So ref has booked literally every silly tackle we have made. Now thry deserved yellow but he's let several newcastle fouls slide that were actually dangerous

 

I think that's the usually Liverpool board pessimism at work. We've not been great- but the first 25 mins we were having all the chances.... the last 15 mins though, no doubt Newcastle have been better.

 

Well for me the pattern of play before conceding is more concerning. We never looked interesting in taking a single risk to create a chance.

 

Now ref calls back the free kick cos it was taken 5 yards away from where it happened

then goes and tells kelleher to hurry up after we’ve already played the free kick and he stopped play

 

Not really much on the bench to change much Diaz, Trent and Elliot only real options
