Worst result under Howe was easily 0-2 v Man U, ending the Cup hoodoo and failure tag would have been huge. Closely followed by 1-2 v Milan. All we needed was a draw and a good run in the Europa beckoned. The fairly regular beatings by crap PL teams are too commonplace to fret about.
So it appears West Ham do suck ass, whoda thought? Yeah we lost to them, big deal, **** results happen in the season - Liverpool lost at home to Forest and Bournemouth beat Arsenal.
I'm the same way Man City lost to Norwich when the former won the championship and the later finished bottom. **** teams win matches occasionally.
Same reason we lose to Luton and generally struggle in every game .. we're not that good. Need to focus on 40 points unless a miracle happens in the next 2 games
If that’s our target then that’s it all over. We can’t be taken over by the richest owners in world football and be happy to accept bottom half. This is ****ing bonkers.
Not saying it's the target but if Newcastle lose the next 2 they'll be looking over their shoulder. There's not many sides that look as bad as Newcastle just now. The bottom 3 are improving. That should change one way or another though.
40 points is what teams cite for survival when they know they'll be fighting against relegation. There isn't a chance in hell we'll be relegated this season.
There's always a chance but it's unlikely. If Newcastle lose a few you'll suddenly see they're not far away from the bottom 3 though... same if they win a few they'll be close to top 4. Current form suggests losses.
Anyway what we really need is Wolves to win and provide a soothener tomorrow night. Looking at Evertons fixtures after that they could find themselves deep in the bottom 3 come their takeover.
He's gone when their takeover is confirmed.. much like the Bruce situation here and unfortunately they new owenership will spend in January, so I guess they'll be ok.
Nah they're already shafted from previous overspending, they can't spend much. It's the best chance in years they'll go down, Ipswich and Soton won't stay up, but Wolves will get results, I may bet on them tonight actually.
