When was I comparing our seasons in this thread? I was joking when I said 12, and people decided to be sour about it. We haven't over achieved at all. We are where we deserve to be at the moment, and I never claimed we'd finish in the position we are now. My target for a while now has been 7th place and I stuck by it. I never thought we would finish in the top 6 because we are simply not on the same level as those 6 teams. The only thing I worry about now is our latest injuries. I had a feeling our good start was too good to be true, and these injuries keep on piling up. Oh well. And by the way, I had you down to finish 10th-12th before the season, and even though you've been **** recently, I haven't changed my mind... You've got some great players in there, but IMO you will struggle to finish in the top 10 as you have no quality up front. Don't know why you decided to bring this subject to be honest, I was never looking to argue about our season... We were a pile of piss in the 08/09 season and got relegated, and we were only slightly ****ter than you were. We got promoted, and despite all the cash you spent and the fact that you'd had seasons to get yourselves sorted out at this level, you only just finished above us thanks to us throwing away a 3 goal lead in the last 20 minutes of the season. I think O'neill is a great manager, but I think you need to take it game by game instead of just assuming everything will get better. My advice, take it or leave it. O'neill wont be able to turn it around in just a few days.
OK, a couple of predictions.. You will finish well below 7th. We will finish above tenth. And while we are on Bruce didn't spend any cash. In fact, he made a profit. Here's to May. Are you scared?
It's amazing how deluded some of you have become just because MoN took over. You wouldn't think you just lost at home to the worst team in the league last weekend
Said yesterday, I reckon a 45k+ crowd. O neill is an infectious character and will bring the missing 5,000+ back imo, even if only out of curiosity and to say I was there in his first game.
Teenagers have some bizarre choices for their fud material By the way, I think next Saturday will be a sell-out as people turn up in droves to greet Martin O'Neil and demonstrate their appreciation to him and Short for his club ambition - we may not be doing so well and Pardew may be exceeding all expectations, but in Short and now O"Neil - you can eat your ****ing hearts out. Next March expect serious COMPEITION at Sid James's. please log in to view this image 1. Yes, you do have reasons to be envious 2. Yes, it will depend upon results on the field and you guys are doing great and of course we are jealous, even of 6th 3. In the lase 5 days, the gap has closed,
Usually the week or so before Xmas, the crowds are down a bit due to obvious reasons so I think that if we get a couple of results then Boxing day against Everton will be the big one, I'm really pissed off because I will miss it but I'll be home in time for New Years eve and Man City the next day, good times ahead, I can't wait.
On tele against an unfashionable team! Coming up to Christmas! I would guess that there will be around 40,000 max.
Ignoring the stalkers and back to the OP, Blackburn never bring a massive following up so we'll be down anyway however I reckon we should be close to selling out our lot so 42,000.
