Just watching UTube and its showing the MOTD highlight of our season opener V Spurs under Keane when Chopra got the late winner.

Just seeing the line ups and Spurs had 4 players starting for them and 2 on their bench which I thought was an interesting stat.

Chimbonda, Steed, Tanio, Kaboul starting and Defoe and Bent on their bench

A very interesting stat considering most teams have 11 players starting for them.

No wonder we won. Keane and Berbatov stated up top for them and we had Murphy and Stokes up top for us . What a ****e front 2.

Also Richardson played left wing with Ross Wallace left back which seems odd to me

Aye it didn't list the other subs but it was Bent's debut (He came on for Tanio as a sub) after his 16.5 million move to them.

Wallace played LB a few times iirc. He was a good player for the lads, clever signing from Keane who knew him from his Celtic days

Aye it was from his clever cross after some good skill that Chopra got the goal after watching it back. I always liked Wallace. Always gave his all

I missed that game as I was driving down to Poole for a family holiday
Only found out the score when I bumped into some football supporters who recognised my sons tops and offered hearty congratulations. Hence a quick adjournment to a pub on Poole Quay.
