...except for the USA of America, where Trump is removing the $7500 tax credit to buy electric vehicles

Can't think of any member of his inner circle who that specifically ****s over

I hope Toyota succeed with their different direction into hydrogen power. JCB are there. This has to be better for the environment than exploiting small countries for their rare minerals. Apart from zero emissions which is good the rest is not straight forward. Re charging is good IF from wind or solar power but China are apparently still building coal fired stations. Disposal of batteries? Same as wind turbines require huge amounts of concrete (not green) Life span projected 20 - 30 years will they replace or just leave the remains? Scottish Southern Uplands are already plastered in turbines and who makes the money? Already wealthy landowners. Won't affect me but I have grandchildren.

"Professional" is how they would likely describe it, once again reminding me that I despise people who use the word professional as an insult

About the only logo changes I agree with are Spotify and eBay, as the old logos were straight trash

When the most powerful nation in the world is governed by a climate change denier, there is no hope for the rest of the world. The USA burns massive amounts of fossil fuels and if the direction is towards burning more, then marginal gains in smaller countries like ours will have negligible effect.
I’m middle aged and expect to die between 2050 and 2060 if I live to old age - 2070 if I’m ancient - but I fear for my children (and grandchildren if I have any) as the world will be a lot less hospitable place to live in the future. Extreme heat, extreme cold, flooding, rising sea levels, storms etc will make life difficult in all but the most temperate places on earth - and it’s hard to envisage that anywhere will be immune from the drastic changes which will affect our futures on the next 20, 30 or 40 years.

Exxon knew that climate change was manmade in 1977. Anyone denying it since is a traitor to humanity.

I cannot bring myself to 'like' your post, but not because I don't agree with every single word. <wah>

In all likelihood I (in many ways 'hopefully') won't last long enough to see and feel the full effects of climate change, but I grieve more for all the other 'occupants' inhabiting this planet, that one malicious, greedy and ignorant species has accelerated the destruction to such an extent.
There really is no way back now. The global community has been rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic for over half a century, watching the clock tick towards the point of no return. I think that moment had probably already passed, but the self-motivated direction of the so-called 'Superpowers' - esp. the US and China - has just confirmed that.

    Enjoy your Sunday, everyone! <doh>

'Don't Look Up' isn't a comedy. It could be a documentary. The human race has become a blight on this planet. In the face of destroying it as a habitat for its current inhabitants, our collective reaction has been to press the accelerator pedal and hurtle towards our doom at an ever increasing pace.

After human beings are extinct, it is to be hoped that some life remains on this paradise and whatever comes next does a better job of protecting the life on it. It is difficult to imagine how any creature could do a worse one.

Not mine, but appreciate it's sentiments :emoticon-0148-yes:

"This is the most dangerous species ever seen on the earth. They eat almost everything and are mercilessly destroying their surroundings.
And when they are done with their destruction they move to other areas and start consuming again without limits.
And the other one is just a fish with big teeth."

Don't Look Up also isn't a comedy as it's the perfect example of how satirising modern life is pointless

When the likes of Trump and **** For Brains are already utterly ridiculous bags of meat and bone who cannot and should not be taken seriously, to satirise them you have to make them that bit much more ridiculous - but doing so unintentionally makes the humour far more broad, and dare I go as far as to say lowbrow

That's why The Day Today and Brass Eye still stand up three decades after they aired, because it took aim at topics and many of those topics remain relevant even if the figures who were occasionally mentioned have long since left the political sphere (with the exception of Peter Mandelson, anyway...)

If I had the skill/tools I would fade out the Jaguar ad music
into DJ Rolando just before the cat pounces.
