West Ham and Palace were competing with Newcastle this week and Newcastle didn't win. We're just not a very good side and not the worst either, but Yesterday we were awful ... that's the bottom line of things.
It's generally not great this season, although to be a few points off top 6 and in the league cup quarter finals is a good situation considering how we've been playing. It's a basis to build from, at least.
Yes but, we're only a few points ahead of west Ham...... if Newcastle lose the next 2 games the situation will see more and more looking at performances and not trying to find positives elsewhere. Once you're looking for positives outside performances you're using mental gymnastics. We're just not very good until proven otherwise and if they beat pool and Brentford that would prove something.
Both of which are under the lights. Wednesday crowd will be whipped into a frenzy with Keegan back. Anything can happen then .
Hopefully.. at home Newcastle are significantly better than away, but things are starting to look like the side is depressing. I'm willing to see what happens in the next 2 games and not go fullyboverboard because Howe out is perhaps a little too soon, but we all know managers are only a few results away once the credits evaporated and I think it's evaporated or certainly evaporating.
A "bottom half club" that is 3 points off the top 6 and 4 points off the Champions League places lol.
The financial rules are doing their job well .. villa the next in line.. it'll be Brighton next to take it in the arse potentially. It is impossible to compete with the big clubs.
And 4 points above west Ham who you are saying are absolute dog ****.... Which way are Newcastle travelling ? No way Newcastle are challenging the top 6 .. absolutely no chance whatsoever.
And 4 points behind arguably the best club in the world, on the same number of points as Man U and one point behind Spurs. No one knows what's going to happen cos it hasn't happened yet, we're one third through the season only.
You don't seem to be understanding the point which is that anyone can look at the table and paint rainbows either up or down. I asked what direction Newcastle are going though ?
City is the biggie, Liverpool are obviously on top, but City's losing streak is gonna end very soon, and Liverpool nearly lost at Soton last week....I just think City may get this.
And anyone can look down the table and say the world's ending, which is what you do. We're not going in any particular direction, we're in a very tight group where 4 points separate 4th and 12th.
