Hezbollah entered the syrian conflict on Assads side as his main opponent were Sunni fundamentalists and Iran didn't want a new Sunni fundamentalist state emerging in the region .
Assad's two main supporters (sorry: puppeteers), Iran and Russia are currently severely weakened and hugely preoccupied with other matters. The rebels saw this as an opportunity to gain a swift advantage and took it. But as others have said, they cannot be looked at as one homogeneous group. They are all anti the Assad regime but are equally anti eachother. Similar to how Hamas and Fatah hate eachother almost as much as they hate Israel.
He’s having a worse week than Assad so yeah. Bored of the Pool fans crowing because they’ve beaten Crawley’s under-12s and makes the league more interesting. Should be an easy win though.
