As I've said, great 3 points and 2 great goals for Celar. The performance though was on par with just about everything else we have witnessed this season. Marti going 5 at the back to defend the 1-0 and it literally became attack v defence.
I wonder what's happened to me this season, I think the life has been drained out of me regarding QPR. I ain't getting too excited about beating Cardiff nor am I suddenly thinking anything will change too much.
Know what you mean but I'll take any small kernel of joy at the moment. I'll take stodgy performances if we can still manage to nick points, for now at least.

the difference was taking our chances, I didn't think we played as well as stoke especially when Smyth went off 2nd half, no attacking outlet at all, we rode our luck and have a very good keeper. A good goalscorer can do nothing all game and still win us matches though, I'm so pleased for the lad, hope he kicks on

3 PTS is welcome anytime but apart from taking 2 of our chances, I didn't see anything else that makes me believe we won't go back to losing on Saturday. I would love to be wrong of course.

Just on my way back from Cardiff. What a night!! Our support was amazing. When Celar scored that second, you could feel both the relief and the huge wave of emotion for the lad. I have to say, when the boys were warming up, Celar was looking very sharp and was striking the ball beautifully. I honestly felt that tonight would be his night. It was fantastic too when Marti wrapped his arms around Celar at the end and then pushed him out towards the fans. He wanted us to know that he was the man tonight - and it was lovely to see how the other players went up to him afterwards as well. They really felt for him and finally his drought was over.
It’s been an amazing night and although we weren’t great in the second half, we held on and the boys will gain a lot of confidence from it. Watford will be a different proposition but so will Celar. I think he’ll now go on a scoring spree. Here’s hoping. Go on you Rsssss

Fair play to you travelling all that way on a cold Tuesday night, a night to remember...<applause><applause><applause>

We could play well at Watford and lose. They’re a good team at home and they’ve had an extra day to recover without travel. Just go there with the pressure slightly off and have a go with whoever doesn’t get injured this week.

Since Marti blatantly refuses to play 2 up top and instead uses MADSEN to support as a no 10 where he doesn't really do anything, I would love to see Saito play there. He has tight control, can turn in tight spaces and can draw players in. MADSEN on the other hand, turns like a bus, has a top speed of a crippled sloth and just pretends he's going to make a tackle.

Ahhhh, l beg to differ my friend, in fact, l'm certain, with this win behind us, we'll be challenging for the automatic promotion places and l'll be darned if we don't make a fist of it securing top spot. I can see clearly now and the the rain has gone, l can see all the other teams that were in our way. Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind, its going to be bright, bright .......... bright sunny season for QPR!

Agreed. 4 points from the last 2 games is promotion form.

Got to say those were two top class finishes that you want from your striker.
Real top drawer.

Where has that striker come from.
Confidence breeds confidence.
Off the bottom...yes I know we have played 2 games more than Portsmouth but off the bottom
More importantly we are back within striking distance of the teams destined to be hovering around the relegation zone come May

Yeah, we have slightly less of a gap than we did last year when Cifuentes arrived.

Does this mean he has improved us?

Sadly, while last night was fun and surprising, I woke up to cold reality this morning and am absolutely sick of hoping that we avoid relegation and regarding that as a good season.

Thanks Sooper. I try to go to the midweek away games when i can. Love being in the minority when we win - creates a real sense of togetherness amongst the supporters. Of course, i've seen my fair share of losses on a wet Wednesday night but last night was sooper special - it felt like Marti's job was on the line if we lost, support for Celar was dwindling to the point of being non-existant and we were becoming further adrift at the foot of the table - therefore to win and see Celar score just made it extra special - more so than most other less meaningful wins. I did sense that the team is really pulling together. I kept my eyes on Cooke as the ref blew the final whistle and he punched the air as if he'd just won a cup final - i could literally feel the relief exuding from the team. It was pure joy for every QPR player/fan there and i'm just glad i was able to be part of it.

Great to win but we remain very firmly relegation candidates so being not too far adrift is critical as we're likely to get a min run at some stage.

A point at Watford would be amazing. A win, unimaginable!

I would agree with Saito playing there but "tight control" and Saito cannot be used in the same sentence. Love his enthusiasm though, and anyone that can smile continually whilst playing for the mighty hoops gets my vote all day long
