Good Morning. It's Thursday 28th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road

Classy Leeds return to the top

Leeds moved back to the top of the Championship with a dominant display over Luton Town at Elland Road last night.

Without Alfie Doughty to pull the strings, the visitors looked disjointed and out of their depth against a well organised Leeds side, who rarely needed to to get out of third gear. Veteran forward Victor Moses went closest for the visitors midway through the first half, but Captain Struijk was on hand to hook the ball off the goal-line.

Sam Byram got Leeds off the mark after just ten minutes after good link up play between Tanaka and Solomon. His initial shot was blocked, sending the ball spinning in the air, before falling kindly for the 31yo to smash home, from the edge of the six yard box.

It wasn't until first half injury time that Leeds deservedly doubled their lead. Struijk forced a great diving save from Kaminski following Rothwell's in-swinging corner. Oblivious to what was going on, the Hatters defence just watched as Piroe doubled Leeds advantage from close range.

It was more one-way traffic after the interval, but fans had to wait until ten minutes from time to make the game safe. Bogle, who found himself playing in a more central position (when attacking), sliced the Luton defence wide open with a long ball from the half-way line. James gave chase, and cheekily lobbed the keeper with his first touch.

Leeds were proficient, well-organised and had a game-plan. Ramazani and Wober are both on the mend after respective injuries, giving the Whites an extra dimension going into the Christmas calendar.

Very close to a big performance

Speaking after the match, Leeds Manager Daniel Farke said he was 'pretty happy' with his teams performance last night, but admitted 'there's always things to improve'. He praised his players performance but admitted they should be converting more of their chances in front of goal, a concern echoed by fans all season.

"To show such a dominant performance, to create many chances, to score three goals and score more or less in the perfect moments, I'm pretty happy with our performance.

"At the moment we're showing great consistency in performances and also results, but efficiency to convert the chances - we've had this problem also in one or two away games where we haven't come home with three points.

"And although we were that dominant we allowed them a few chances. Three or four times, Illan (Meslier) had to be there switched on and Pascal (Struijk) was also there with a great clearance so there's always something to improve. "But I don't want to be too critical because it was very close to a big performance."

Had to watch on my mobile phone but still impressive. Just been thinking I’d love to know who the main man is responsible for this summers transfer incomings. Very impressive success rate

Luton have had some bad results on their travels, but they're not necessarily played as bad as the results have indicated, no-one has closed them out of the game the way we did yesterday. Our balance was good yesterday between slow build up play and upping the tempo when required. It won't always happen, and Blackburn will be well organised at the weekend. When we have a full compliment of attacking players we have different ways to hurt teams. There are sides who, if they have a fully fit first 11 will give us a run on their, but no one has our squad depth.

The middlebrough game in a couple of weeks will be interesting. They missed a few key players against Blackburn and lost but they will come to play - both games last year were corkers.

Greetings for Boracay in the Philippines! .

I Didn’t get a chance to watch it sadly as it was 3:45am here. Having watched the highlights though it looked like a great performance. Next up is a test imo. Blackburn are in good form, but so are we. I’d expect us to win there but we are Leeds after all and mostly don't do things the easy way. Lol

Greetings back. I was there early 1990s…no hotels, just beach huts… electricity from generators… but 10p a beer and shed loads of Swedish girls. Probably the best month of my life. Not sure why I ever left.

Going to miss the Blackburn game as it’s my sister-in-law’s birthday so we have the annual walk along the South Bank for the Christmas markets, spot of lunch booked in a restaurant and then area reserved in a pub for the evening. Hopefully I can dip in here every so often for an update. Why is it a 1.30 kickoff?

"Blackburn Rovers' match against Leeds United has been moved to 1:30pm due to a request by Lancashire Police."

Must be having their Christmas party later on.

Isn’t that the guy we’ve just got rid of? Had one transfer window, did really well, then told he’s no longer required.

    Very strange.

We had a bit of a reputation of filling all the local pubs and smashed a few up,if I remember right a few years back.

So shouldn’t all our away games kickoff at one-thirty?

One of a very few clubs to give us over 7,000 tickets, who wants 7,000 drunken Leeds fans hanging around for a 3pm kick off.

It’s certainly not like that now. Hotel’s everywhere and the USA has pretty much taken over. McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Jolibees to name a few. Still cheap though, but not that cheap at all. Beer is £1.50.

on topic, that was a utter shower of **** showing again against Blackburn. Why do we do that? Really good for a few games, the an utter ****e one?!
