Primary, St John's in Bellingham and John Ball in Blackheath.
Secondary, Roger Manwood in Forest Hill, Sandy Upper in Sandy.
I later rejected offers to study at both Oxford and Cambridge as did not fancy the thought of living in either city.

I know we'll probably only get a maximum of around 20 answers on this thread, but I'm curious to find out whether any two members actually went to school at the same location.

By the way nursery education began at Pound Park :emoticon-0157-sun:
I had no idea back then of course that Charlton Athletic used to play football there in around the year 1910, when there was a pitch and open ground rather than two schools and streets of houses.

    It was never cold though.
Maybe there was a belief that cold (refrigerated) milk was bad for kids.
They used to warm it up by standing the bottles on top of radiators! :emoticon-0119-puke:

At my school they had the milk stacked in the playground. In Summer it was in direct sunshine. When the kids drank the milk it was rank. One kid in my class refused to drink it and was given six of the best in front of the class. The schools were brutal.

They also used to give us biscuits with farmyard animals printed on them. They went down so well after a smoke in the toilets.

The physical abuse handed out by some of the psycho teachers was legendary at Eaglesfield. I can’t do names but one kid got caned for wearing a QPR top at a PE lesson.

I got caned for impersonating an Indian voice. We were doing time zones around the world and the teacher asked me what the time was in India and I said in an Indian accent quarter past two Sir. The class cracked up and I was taken to the Headmaster’s office where I was given six of the best.
