I think the truth is that if the right player is available at a price they are willing to pay the money will always be there.

The Sumner we saw people saying just sign this player or just do this or that , but the club won't 'just' do anything.. they'll only sign the players they reallt want.

Howe has confirmed there's not much money available for January. I've already seen people peddling the notion it's to keep prices down.

I mean ffs we heard this nonsense from these people for years now and the fact we had to sell players to avoid a points deduction STILL hasn't penetrated.

Links with Semenyo and Tavernier. Yep, Bournemouth. I’m sure there’ll be another couple of Burnley links soon enough, before we inevitably go after relegated players in the Summer.

Perfect but they also added that we have no money available without sales.

The question is who's being sold ? Almiron seems the obvious candidate, but I think we might lose Isak.

Not sure “perfect” is the word I’d use.

Quite how we go from bidding £70m for Guehi to being skint is a mystery.

Howe cleared that up saying they didn't bid anywhere near that and it depends on other things taking place.

This window I suspect we'll do nothing or very little.

I've already accepted it's going to be Isak sacrificed. Jan or Summer, don't know, but he's gone.

It's inevitable... Newcastle cannot compete and he'll have better career options.

Yep, I think we dabbled with getting decent players in but for whatever reason it didn't work. Now we'll try to be a smart transfer club instead, and rely on Howe to coach them better. Bruno sure doesn't look like a £100m player, same for Gordon. We've got Tonali and Isak who are saleable, but Tonali's value is going to plummet playing second fiddle to Longstaff. It's like we keep saying, we're going backwards but nobody seems to really mind because at least Ashley's gone.

I'd be looking to sell Almiron Barnes and Longstaff this January

Longstaffs stock will never be higher , Barnes is probably still the same value and Almiron is obviously now deemed worse than Murphy...not sure I agree.

We'll lose Isak either next month or the summer without a doubt .... we're not making Europe in any form.... Ashley landed mid table in his last 4 seasons.

Mbuemo marked as the #1 choice to replace Salah. Makes sense, good player. Too costly for us.

Is there any indication that the rules will change to allow us to spend more?

Are we capped at essentially 100m a season now or something?

I think we should be tapping up Kelleher. Superb keeper.

We need a rw. Can't believe we've waited 6 years.

For me it's cbs .. everything starts from the cb and it's arguably the most important part of the pitch.... for some reason people like to ignore it because signing cbs and gks actually isn't exciting but that's why Newcastle are struggling imo

Every other position is pointed at including midfield being an issue, but if you've got two slow cbs and a keeper than can't play a bit the midfield will struggle to get up the pitch.

The situation is made significantly worse because we've got slow cms in general.

Help me out Roly. Do you rate Mbeumo or not?

I guess it depends on who wants him, us or Liverpool, right?
