Mcmanaman "Real Madrid are down to their bare bones" just **** off you Spanish ****. Never been a big fan since he ****ed off to RM but that comment cemented his status as a complete ****..
This format is great. Played 5 diff teams to keep it fresh rather than being bored playing 3 twice and we know we’ll 100% be through to the next round already.
Probably. It just takes the edge off. You get a great gsme but the outcome is so the **** what really. That performance should be putting real out of the comp but they will squeak through into last 32 round in all likelyhood.
All I've heard tonight is how many players haven't got but not much about the ones they have. Players like Mbappe and Bellingham should be putting their stamp on a game regardless of the circumstances but were virtually anonymous.
Just got their goalkeeper back as well, he's been at it all night. Clearly loves RM and fair enough I suppose but he's no Liverpool legend.
Thought that was probably the game we had most control of all season . Just straightforward football all across the park
Media and commentators always going on about how many injuries teams like arsenal, city and real have but never mention we have been missing Jota Elliot and Alisson for a big chunk of the season already.
Because if you’re winning clearly you’re not impacted but if you’re not winning it’s easy excuse to make.
For all the criticism Darwin Nunez gets I would still take him over Mbappe. Darwin is a player who cares and isn’t a mercenary. Mbappe is a just a money grabbing charlatan , for all his undoubted talent.
Even if he was he'd still get up my nose as a co-commentator. Tbh, Sky commentators are bad enough, but the BT ones make the games almost unwatchable for me. I really can't stand Darren Fletcher, I don't know why but his voice just grates on me, and he just talks and talks nonsense rather than just doing a proper commentary.
Before anyone asks yes I was drinking out of this seasons lucky glass. Brilliant performance only downside is Konate and Bradley injuries. I will be surprised if they play against City. So expect TAA and either Gomez or Quansah to play, Thought Mbappe was poor, maybe being a big fish in the French league does not translate to performing consistently in higher leagues.
Yeah, but like I said earlier, if you can still field the sort of sides that City and Real can then your injury list - though obviously still an issue - shouldn't break you completely. If a club with virtually no limit on who they can acquire can't cope with a handful of injuries better than they have been doing, then the squad hasn't been assembled well enough.
Superb, superb game. Every player gets a 10 from me with Bradley motm. Shout out to Kelleher, Alisson who?
When Nunez is in danger of getting two yellows you know it's because he's involved and active in the game - the only thing Mbappe was in danger of getting was a bit of a chill.
