Literally every game is a potential banana skin in that respect, and anyone can spot it. We lost and drew to Luton last season, but the reality was those were some of the better results in their season and they still went down.

West Ham are not a great team in terms of the Premiership, and that's why they've done badly this season.

You said we'd win all of them though, so if people suggest we might lose games there's good reason rather than just the accused negativity then surely.

West Ham were underestimated and people read to much into things after only a quarter of the season. If they're so crap how come they're only 3 points behind Newcastle.

All people needed to do was look at the team sheets to see a good side that was only 6 points behind Newcastle. West Ham were under strength and Newcastle are just not as good as many like to think.

Newcastle and West Ham are on par fighting for the same thing as a club and on the day they were the better side.

I don't say we'll win every game, I just reflect on what the current situation is - ie we were more likely to lose to Arsenal and beat West Ham, but the reverse happened.

West Ham aren't underestimated this season, they're bloody ****e, hence why their manager was favourite for the sack. Beating us was an out of the blue result as the rest of the season they've been dire - ie getting pounded 0-3 by Forest, losing 1-4 at home to Spurs, losing 0-3 at home to Chelsea, getting put out the cup by losing 5-1 vs Liverpool.

It's early in the season and not that many games have been played so that's why everyone's close together, in the same way we're 1 point off 6th.

They can't be they are only 3 points behind Newcastle? They also just defeated us on our own soil.

It's all media hyperbole surrounding them because they were expected to challenge the top 4.

They'll be top half come May because they have good players... once Arsenal is out the way they will climb looking at their second quarter of fixtures.... possibly the same for us after Liverpool.

Because the league is very close together. Also that result was clearly our the blue, likewise Forest defeating Liverpool on their home soil doesn't define everything about them.

They weren't supposed to challenge for top 4, and no one predicted them to.

And then you're proclaiming they'll be in the top half, this is all wild speculation, seeing as prior to Monday they've been having dreadful results and their manager was favourite to be sacked (and he still is).

The reason is they've done almost as well Newcastle so far.

Actually you're completely wrong because many people did tip west Ham to challenge the top 4 and certainly top 6.

I certainly did because they were only a handful of points behind us last sesson and spent big money in the summer.

It was wild speculation when you bet Newcastle would finish 5th last season and that Chelsea wouldn't finish ahead of Newcastle, but it didn't stop you saying it did it?

looking on the BBC I was reading this and wondered if this affected the decision making of our VAR official on Monday night (Chris Kavanagh)
not wanting to get involved with the Penalty incident with Wilson being hauled down in the box
Refs don't like to be reminded they ****ed up
    ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

"Brentford captain Christian Norgaard has avoided a three-match ban as the Bees successfully appealed against his red card in a 0-0 draw with Everton on 23 November.

The Denmark international was sent off in the 41st minute at Goodison Park following a challenge on Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford while attempting to score in the six-yard box.

The video assistant referee (VAR) recommended on-field referee Chris Kavanagh should review the incident on the pitch-side screen.

Norgaard was then shown a straight red card and would have faced a three-match suspension as he was dismissed for serious foul play.

But the Bees have won an appeal for wrongful dismissal and their captain is now available to play on Saturday, when Thomas Frank's side host Leicester City in the Premier League (15:00, 30 November).

There's points been made. None of which were made the previous 3 or 4 games. All of which have merit but seem a tad over excessive for 1 game.

Some point I can agree with. Some make you lot sound like self entitled Man Utd fans
