Yeah there was no where near that amount, was so many empty seats around me and all over the place. Could've laid down and had a nap on a few rows due to about 10 seats in a row being empty.
Kamara been shafted since he was hooked at HT on his debut. Has looked bright in patches and tries at times but needs a new manager who doesn't seem intent on playing half his squad out of position.
Can you say any of our players have put in 100% effort? Even Coyle trotting back at a canter against WBA to play Maja on side for their second wasn't doing that. Kamara has put some great balls in the box that Pedro hasn't finished off and has made a few chances himself, he's just about our only positive winger at the moment.
It's the one thing all players can give regardless of ability. Kamara is another Malcolm for me. Doesn't want to be here and makes no effort.
I felt bad for his wife and kids last night, but the fact they were there speaks to the absolute arrogance of the man. He put them in that situation when there was absolutely no need to do so, he should have protected them. Ultimately they are the only people in that stadium he cares about, he did nothing to support his players at full time and ignored the fans yet again. Results aside the relationship has been damaged beyond repair and he needs to go. Dragging us further down until he gets his pay off is frustrating but I understand why he’s doing it. Lucky for him the heat will be off him shortly and will be directed at Acun, who let’s face it, is the only one responsible for the mess we’re in. As a guy with an ego the size of his private jet, things could go from bad to worse when he starts facing the music.
Thought Longman was very unlucky to be the one subbed at half-time instead of Kamara. He played well all things considered and despite being out injured for months. There were several occasions last night when Longman was high and wide on the right, in acres of space and being played onside. I was in E5 and it was right in front of me. All it took was a simple dink over the top and he was through on goal or at least able to sprint forward and cut it back as Wednesday’s offside trap in the first half was disjointed and not level. But Coyle and Jones either didn’t see him or they did but were too scared to even attempt the pass. They just lack bravery in their passing. At least Hughes attempted some ambitious switches to Longman and some of them were brilliant and that was the harder pass!
Walter should have gone weeks ago that’s on Acun. Atmosphere was so toxic grown men screaming at Walter like he was to blame for all their problem's. Why the hell Walter had his family at the game was beyond they didn’t need to see hear that. Performance was awful players have downed tools. It’s over he’s gone. Mowbray would my choice.
I think once Walter goes, more and more supporters will start to realise the manager is the least of our problems. The owner is a megalomaniacal crook who resembles a modern-day Roman emperor whose attempts to win over the plebs with his gaudy ‘bread and circuses’ routine will get very old very quick and we’ll see his true colours soon enough. It will end in tears. Walter at least can escape this circus and he will be better off for it. It’s us, the supporters, who will continue to suffer.
I'd have Mowbray as well but he's been seriously ill lately and I'm not sure he's ready to make a comeback just yet? I saw a video of him recently being introduced to the Boro crowd on the pitch and he was very emotional. He looked very drained and a bit gaunt,I'm not sure what he's been through but it's obviously took it out of him... Decent man manager who expects his players to give their all,as he did on the pitch, and it would be nice to have someone like him standing on the touchline.
