1. He will have done his homework, thoroughly 2. He will have his own ideas about his how to beat Wolves 3. He's the boss I anticipate one or two changes and perhaps a surprise ..? Personally, I'd like to see this tomorrow Westwood Bardsley - Turner - Brown - Richardson Larsson - Vaughan - Meyler - Sessegnon Bendtner - Ji Bench: d: O'Shea m: Colback, Gardner a: Noble
I myself am a fan of the 4-3-1-2 formation. We dont have wingers, so playing it up the middle I think would work. I would go with: -------------Westwood--------------- O'Shea---Turner---Brown---McBardo -----Vaughn--Meyler---Larsson------ ---------------Sess------------------- -------------Ji----Bendy-------------- With Sess providing the support and through balls that the strikers can run on to, and with Vaughn and larsson breaking wide on a counter.
He is only watching but if he did pick the team he likes 3-5-2 so: Westwood O'Shea-Brown-Brado Sess-Myler-Vaughan-Colback-Larson Bendy-Noble
To be honest I can't see MON having anything at all to do with the team tomorrow. I think he'll just observe.
Your reserve bloke will look after the game. O'Neill hasn't had an opportunity to get to know what your players strengths and weaknesses are yet, and he certainly wouldn't base his decision on research from games managed by Bruce. That would just be a backwards step. As a fan, don't assume that he knows anywhere near as much as you do about your team. It would probably be akin to one of us having to choose the team for Bolton, or West Brom. I would not have a clue where to start.
Black is incharge for tomorrow so he will be picking the team I would go with... -------------------- Westwood -------------------- - O'Shea ---- Turner ---------- Brown - Richardson - Larsson ---- Gardner ---------- Vaughan - Sessegnon -------------- Ji -------------- Bendtner ----------- subs Bardsley Carson McClean Colback Cattermole Cook Noble
Black. "So I was thinking gaffer, lets play it safe and go 4, 5, 1, that's what Brucey would have done!" MON. "Are you fecking insane? It's not Barcelona we are playing get two up front!"
You think? Martin O"Neil may have had more than just a few days to study our games, get first hand accounts and read reliable articles/ match reports etc I'm certain O'Neil understands how to remedy our situation, thanks fer droppin' by tho <kiss> PS: the last EPL match MON attended was Chelsea-Wolves.
O'Neill wont pick the team, but he will be watchin. It's Black's chance to come in as no. 2 'cos Robertson may not. x
Why would he have more than a few days? Bruce got sacked 5-6 days ago and MON hasn't officially had the job until a few hours ago. Managers are more hands-on than anything else, and I don't think they'd make an important decision about anything until they worked with the players, watched them in training and got to know them. He's too clever a manager to fall into that trap, and I imagine that if he was offered the opportunity to manage tomorrows game, he would refuse anyway. PS: It's interesting to be able to talk about a Sunderland manager like he's actually intelligent. I'm still getting used to no longer talking about Bruce and his sheer lack of common sense.
