There's no lack of effort. They're bereft of confidence as you would be when you know you're being told to do your job and it doesn't make sense what you're being asked to do.
Forums exist in society in which to vent passions without adversely affecting the majority of the population. It's a self-selecting community. I'd say a football stadium and football forum are examples of those spaces, especially when the football is **** and anyone can see were sleepwalking via tactical naivety towards a serious problem, with no real sign of anything changing. You can't change players or ownership overnight, but there comes a time to change what you can change.
Yeah, me too. Clearest example, a bloke bit to the side, one row in front of me. Must have been in 60's, maybe even 70's. Getting so wound up & irrate I honestly thought he was going to burst a blood vessel or have a heart attack. Absolutely balling stuff that actually Walter and others can't hear anyway! Just deafening the people in front of him. Absolutely fine to show some passion, some excitement (not that we get much of that), etc, but carrying on like that is just plain stupid.... and dangerous.
The worst near me is a guy we have nicknamed Mr Toad. God he comes out with some crap. Leaves early stating he has had enough etc. Bright red face and sure to live the rest of his days being angry at things he can't control.
The problem we have can be traced back to the summer when we changed the colour of out training kit. Everyone knows that green is unlucky, especially so in the trawling industry.
Embarrassing tonight - really poor performance, team devoid of confidence and ideas - combination of things, not sure there's much of a system on show and the overall quality in the team just isn't there, I certainly wouldn't say they've downed tools - however if the fans continue to give them **** as they did tonight then why should they bust a gut - it's having a negative effect which is the opposite of what support is supposed to be about - so, partly the manager, partly the players and partly the 'support' - lot of bridges need building, perhaps the support should try supporting and get behind the team rather than take the piss with songs like ' how **** must you be' etc - anyway, as I said at the start, embarrassing tonight
A strange one, camera panned to him seeing them and giving them a kiss at the end, which again was a bit strange they were there in the first place. My old man commented on this been as bad as it’s been. I disagree obviously the pre 2000s stuff was horrendous, and the final 3 months of McCann in the Championship was horrendous. However, if Acun doesn’t do something now we could be in serious trouble. The team looks like a walking loss at the minute. Wednesday could have literally has 3/4 in the first 20 minutes, we missed a huge chance, then that was that. The players don’t agree with the tactics and never have, you can tell that quite easily. Acun has sold him down the river, but 90% of managers could do better with this squad than he is currently. Belloumi and Millars injuries we would possibly have a few more points but not many and merely paper over the cracks. The next manager needs a simple Philosophy and a decent man manager to make the players feel better about themsleves. Also Tim’s a strange bloke. Robins might be that bloke, we shall see.
Before the jeers etc there was a good spell of very noisy supportive songs backing the team but the 2nd silly goal just killed it .
I actually feel like supporters have come around to accepting this is a relegation scrap and are trying their best to support the team, it's only when the game is out of sight that the frustrations were heard.
I’m really hoping the new manager will get some confidence into the players and play with reasonably basic tactics for a while. Are the current players good enough though? Pandur - good shot stopper, no issues. Coyle - works hard but needs to stop crossing with his left foot. Would love him to be more vocal to the team during the game. Jones - steady eddie, not had a good season but he’s good enough for champ. Hughes - love him. Drameh - NOT a left back. Tries hard but out of position Simons - not good enough for me I’m afraid Slater - shackled by Tim’s system. Puerta - looked a world beater 10 games ago but hasn’t done much since. Again a victim of Tim’s midfield abandonment. Kamara - not a fan of his at all I’m afraid. He’s the love child of Jason Lokilo and Malcolm Ebiowei. Longman - he’s alright, needs to be on the left. Pedro - not a lone front man in a million years. Needs way more support around him but expecting him to lead the line with his attributes is borderline insanity.
Probably Although also it was a team that’s been told defending isn’t important and to make sure they knew that the better defender was taken off without any obvious defensive plan in place. Lewie Coyle in the middle of a back three? That was the case occasionally after Hughes was hooked
I agree with all of that apart from the numbers. The 21k includes pass holders whether they go or not. There was a lot more space around us than usual in North Stand, which is all pass holders.
Kamara’s terrible. He made that last-ditch tackle last night and it was the only thing he did. In fact, I can’t remember him doing anything else worth noting since joining us.
Yawn. It’s a football forum, dedicated to Hull City. There’s forums elsewhere for the rest of your blather.
