    Day Jar Vue Rodney...
    Day Jar Vue...

Hull City head coach Tim Walter told BBC Radio Humberside:

“It was unlucky. We again missed big chances to score, then you get a penalty against you and the heads went down a bit. It’s a human reaction.

“They are playing my style but it’s not easy when you hit the post, and then are five metres in front of the goal and shoot against the goalkeeper. It’s hard to accept but we have to accept it, and we have to fight. At the moment we can’t score, and that’s our biggest problem.

[On his position] “I am tough, I’m not afraid of situations. I have harder things in life than a football game, there are much more problems in our world than a football game.

“I love my job and all I want to do is work for the club, fight for the club and be successful for the fans.”

Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl told BBC Radio Sheffield:

“In the first half we were outstanding with the ball. Against the ball there are points we have to improve - we dropped a little bit deep, and it was about box defending today.

“In 20 minutes we had so many chances and you never know how many chances you will get again, so we have to improve. It’s a small step again, no more, but in the end it was fully deserved.

[On half-time substitutions] “Josh had a little bit of a tight hamstring and Ike had a good performance, a big step on his way, but it was to get fresh bodies in, not about performance. I wanted to bring speed in with Musa.”

And miss out on a payday, TW said he was a fighter when Mike White asked the question earlier on RH post match, said he wouldn't resign.

that would be the logical thing to do, but I don't think Acun uses logic when appointing a manger. Where was the logic in sacking McCann & bringing in Shota?
Where was the logic in sacking Rosenior & bringing in Walter ?
This will be his 4th attempt at getting it right & I have very little faith he will

That and they're not good enough....I have no idea what the solution is and I guess the brains trust haven't got a 'Scooby-Do' how to turn it around with over one third of the season already gone.

The team were piss-poor today, but the worry is how can we legitimately change it up under Tim.

He is hellbent on us trying to play his system, but we don't have the players for his system. Coyle and Jones seem unable to overcome their programming, and resort to safety first too often, which ultimately undercuts the concept of Walterball.

We totally refuse to play through the centre, so every game we have at least one completely anonymous centre mid, yet for some reason we signed what, 5 of the ****ers in the summer?

We're heavily reliant on wingers but are struggling because Millar and Belloumi are hugely missed, and while Kamara shows occasional promise, Omur is generally stealing a paycheck when he's played out wide. Longman wasnt the answer today, nor was Jarvis in his cameos. Both of the players on our left are right-footed, so are reluctant to get to the byline and whip a ball in that curls away from the keeper. Meanwhile, Coyle insists on ****ting out diagonal left-footed crosses on the other wing and I don't recall us winning one of them.

So what are the options? Drameh on the right, Giles on the left? McLoughlin in for Jones? Finn Burn in? IDKIt may be harsh on Coyle as captain, but I'd give something a try. Whether it would make a difference I don't know, but it's painfully clear that not changing anything is unlikely to result in improvements.

Basically, we have 2 choices. Choice number 1, we try not to get dry-bummed in each of the 7 matches until the window opens, and hope that we can get in several players that are suited to the system, and hopefully pull off a Wednesday style turnaround.

Choice number 2, we change the system, which presumably means changing the manager.

I feel sorry for him must be ****ing soul destroying playing up front in this system, o ly tome you see the ball is when one of the incompetents on the wing humps it into the area whilst you try to beat two 6'2 meat heads to it

Which is a disgrace if anywhere near true.

If there are internal wranglings going on in the dressing room then so be it but never, ever, let the faithful down.I haven't spent much money on supporting this season for various reasons(I'm sad to say I'm glad I haven't) but there are a lot of hard working folk, many who post on here, who put their money in on a monthly basis and were forced to sit through that sh!t show tonight...They deserve better, they are the life blood and history of this Club and no-one at this Club is bigger or better than that..

Acun Ilicali must sort this mess out,and must do so immediately.

He’s also had 2 or 3 full international breaks to work with the squad. With no improvement whatsoever.

Yepp, good post..Reminds me a little bit of Adam Pearson's prowess at appointing gaffers e.g......Molby, Parkinson...only got it right with Taylor.

Thing is with Coyle he panics, doesn’t appear to have a football brain and constantly looks rushed. Heart of a lion but an unfortunate lack of quality.

Walter doesn’t do himself any favours and he has major flaws as a coach but it’s piss-easy to blame one man than 11. He’s the lightning rod for criticism as are all managers to an extent.

The players should be ashamed of themselves tonight. I was very critical of Rosenior but there were games last season where I thought ‘this isn’t Rosey’s fault, this is entirely down to the players today’. QPR away, Swansea at home, Stoke at home and the final game of the season against Plymouth away to name a few were games under Rosenior that were mainly due to the players being ****ing **** and bottling it rather than Rosenior’s style of play or tactics being at fault.

Rosenior undeniably had a better rapport with the players than Walter currently does which probably helped get a response after a turgid performance by the players. That’s also on Walter as these players don’t look capable of fighting for him to stop a rut. That being said, some players are just bellends and we’ve got a few of our own.

Look at all the managers Man Utd have had over the years. Good managers who had good reputations before going there and have since gone on to achieve things since leaving. Moyes, van Gaal, Mourinho, Rangnick and even ten Haag were, and still are, decent coaches undone by arsewipe players who threw them under the bus. Roy Keane always gave Man Utd managers post-Ferguson the benefit of the doubt when going through a really poor spell because he knew the sort of arsewipes they had in the dressing room.

No manager is going to resign unless he's got somewhere else to go.

agree, the players showed tonight they are being forced to play a system they have no belief in.
16 games in & they are totally confused as to what they are being asked to do, as it doesn't make sense to them
It makes no sense to anyone except Tim Walter & he's never going to change his philosophy on how he believes the game should be played
It must be really hard to motivate yourself as a player when you are clearly not enjoying what you are doing & you know when you walk out onto the pitch chances are you going to get beat. We need a manager that can come in & install confidence & belief back into these players
Mark Robins would seem be the obvious choice to do that, but who knows what Acun will do ?

Blunder must have TW on repeat. Perhaps someone can produce cards for the Middlesbrough post match interview for an all inclusive game of Bullshit Bingo.
