In Pardew's post match interview he said he asked the 4th official why a red card wasnt given and the reply was that "Ba was not in control of the ball". What a load of ****e that is, how can you be allowed to referee a game if you dont understand the rules?

It was going to be a one on one and if that's not a goal scoring opportunity you must have to already have a penalty. I think this was one of the worst decisions I've ever seen in my life to be honest. he either give the free kick and sends him off or he gives nothing.

The ref had an all round stinker, as did the linesman running the Milburn stand line.

I bet the headlines arn't Chelsea gain controversial win either, unlike our point at old trafford last week. I'm so ****ing pissed off it's ridiculous we would have won that ****ing game if he was sent off and been 4th. This **** should have been chased and beaten within an inch of his life. That's how to teach people a lesson.

Wonder whether Mike Dean will be dropped next week for this truly abysmal decision just like Mike Jones was dropped for this weekend.

Or does dropping referees only apply when Man United are the victims?

If he decided to give him a card should've been a red ... Ba was through on goal and Luiz was the last defender ... think that refs these days will never give these red card decisions especially against the bigger teams and with only 5 minutes on the clock ... if it was the other way round I don't think that he would hesitate one bit like when he awarded them the pen ...

The more I think about the more I just can't ****ing believe it???? wtf this man should be boiled alive. Or at least never be allowed to referee at his level ever again. The pen we got at Old Trafford was nothing compared the the sheer lunacy of today. I actually want to throw myself of a building because It's driving me mad trying to understand it.

Jeff read out the rule on Soccer Saturday and not once does it mention controlling the ball. He also had a dig at Mike Dean for it to <ok>

should have been off for me but I suppose that saying of what goes around comes around we were lucky with the pen that wasn't last week. end of the day we are still in a good position in the league, a lot better than anyone of up would have thought at the start of the season

That decision last week saved us a point, this one cost us 3 in my opinion. We had the same at the stadium of ****e, however we won anyway. I'm ****ed off with bad decisions in football and to be honest every team is.

The rule simply states that it need be a clear goal scoring opportunity, which it was.

Those who watched the game on TV, was the throw in which lead to their goal given correctly? I was certain the cross had missed everyone.

Raylor did head it and he told the ref for some reason.

It was a red card, no doubt about that. But you can't say we would have won if they had gone down to ten men. A bad decision went against us today, a bad decision went in our favour last week. These things happen, just need to accept it.

Pretty sure he didn't tell the ref <laugh> it was Krul checking with Raylor if the ref got it right or if he was just being massively biased. I'll be honest I was stunned when he gave them the throw in, I was just speechless even after the replays. But if Raylor says it hit him then obviously it did.

Well done for being honest mate as yes Chelsea should have been down to 10 men but 11 against 11 from what I have read about the game you gave them a good match so it wasn't that decision that cost newcastle the game, it was your overall quality which wasn't good enough to defeat Chelsea.

At the start of the season no one in world football would have predicted in their wildest dreams that Newcastle would have gone on such a great unbeaten run so while I personally think Newcastle are punching above their weight and I dislike both your chairman and manager, I actually have a soft spot for your typical decent geordie and hope you finish in the top 6 but doubt it will happen.

If I'm honest were not very good at getting players sent off. The crowd should have been shouting OFF OFF OFF and Ba should have been more furious.
