Watford were quite woeful that day, yet the team and replacements had a quality look about them. please log in to view this image Since that December day, Watford have said goodbye to another coach, with TC taking the reins with some success. The home form has kept the Hornets in the playoff race, so sooner or later that home record will fall. Let us hope it is not against Bristol again. Liam Manning, in charge since November 2023, will be hoping for his side to build more consistency over the winter period, with his side yet to win back-to-back matches this term, while they will also be aiming to bounce back from a narrow defeat to Burnley last time out. They will take confidence from the fact that they have been at their best when playing on the road, taking 12 points from eight away fixtures. Team News Defender Festy Ebosele returns to the squad after missing Friday’s game due to a one-match ban, and midfielder Pierre Dwomoh is available after illness ruled him out of the game at Home Park. Jeremy Ngakia is available for selection and, should he be in the squad tomorrow night, it will be his first involvement since the 3-0 win over Stoke City on August 17. “He’s a high-class player that can bring something different to the squad,” said Cleverley. “We all know he’s had his injury problems and he won’t be ready to start tomorrow, but him being in and around the squad on a matchday will be a good boost for him as well as for us.” Striker Daniel Jebbison’s hip problem that ruled him out on Friday will sideline him again tomorrow, although Cleverley said it was “not a serious injury”. Bristol City are dealing with an injury crisis heading into this match with up to six players set to miss out, including Ayman Benarous, George Tanner, Joe Williams, Mark Sykes, Ross McCrorie and Samuel Bell. I think Ngakia isn't too bad actually - but Jebbison is a strange one. For me, he 's done nothing to suggest that he was a worthwhile signing - I'd far rather see Rajovic back.
Jeremy Ngakia - Wikipedia He has made 76 appearances since 2020! Sure he is good IF fit. But, that doesn't happen much and the contract extension was a bit of a joke really. as now - On 23 May 2024, the club announced he had signed a three-year extension - and we know deep down we can't rely on him week in week out. When he next plays he'll have a little run of game(s) then be in the treatment room never to be seen for ages, just like this time round, and last time round and the time before that etc...
I can see this game, which is great, My GP has given me two weeks sick leave because she is worried about my blood pressure. I hope that that isn't made worse by the hornets.
