The next best thing to having a good rant us to read a one, and I enjoyed that!! Well said, keep off those nights if you can, you'll feel a million times better.
Actually working on nights is possible. Doing security jobs, when there's no one around, isn't for me. I once took on a job, doing 8pm til 8am, for five nights. It was watching two prototype Ferraris on a train in the sidings at Antibes. They were under cover so no one could photograph them. I didn't see a soul in all the time I was there. Absolutely dreadful.
Fooking hell, two years ago and I'm still on permanent nights Actually I've served my notice on em. Hopefully off after new year
I must have missed this 2 years ago. I havent been 8 stone since i was about 13 years old, thanks for the mention though
I've worked shifts all my working life and I know exactly where you're coming from mate. I used to bang overtime in as much as I could get but probably the last year, I've decided to cut back and only cover colleagues day shifts as like you, I feel knackered all the time plus I miss that much family time. I work 2 weekends out of 4, Bank Holidays including Christmas and New Year and I have now come round to seeing just how much I miss, especially with the grandson now playing football regularly and then there's the Sunderland games on top of that!
Need to make sure you are quoting the right person. I never mentioned you! I and no idea why you mentioned being 8 stone or me mentioning you had to go back to the post I replied to 2 years ago to realise you were on about the post I replied to not me!
Good to hear mate. I reckon I could only do nights again if it was a job where you have to just sit there and can watch telly and not do much! When I did shifts it wasn't bad, when I did just nights it was terrible. Didn't help having a young family so not being able to sleep!
Aye cheers Blondie la Am getting a move and going on mornings and afternoons hopefully. Losing £500 a month take home but fook the money. Health happiness and family come first
