3 - 0 and that's game over for sure. Great finish by Touré but this scoreline is flattering Man City... 1 - 0 or 2 - 0 would be fairer.
We have never looked like getting anything from this game. wouldnt be suprised to see a 4th or 5th go in!
Well, we're probably playing the second best team in Europe if not the world, what did you expect? Considering their second shouldn't of even been a free-kick we haven't really defended that poorly, and Morrison and Bennett both had ok chances just made poor decisions in the heat of the moment.
Steve M gets a reward for his shift! Only a consolation, but now we can wonder what might of been, super header!
5 - 1... come on, this is harsh on us. We haven't really done anything wrong except their second goal.
First tonking of the season, they did dominate us. Not unexpected and we didn't disgrace ourselves against their quality. Newcastle also lost heavily so that will give us some comfort for next week Apart from blackburn wining it's not too bad in terms of other results below us Heh, this is what the premier league is all about!!
First thrashing of the season. Against the top team in the Premiership, nothing bad about that. First time we have conceded more than three goals this season. At least we haven't conceded four against Bolton and Blackburn like QPR and Swansea.
Ipswich doing REALLY WELL! You know you want to play Colchester twice a season --- This match, noone expected anything so a goal is a bonus, we lost 5-1, whereas Man Utd were destroyed 6-1 (that was more of a demolition than this), so quite happy that our first thrashing should come to the leaders than some embarassing team trawling the bottom of the table, such as blackburn vs. swansea
That is a shame for you, 5-1, did not see this one coming, but Man City are one of them sides who are just unstoppable.
I can't believe so many of you think we did alright. We conceded the game right from the start so what happened to the "no fear" outlook. We were always going to be under the cosh but until Holt and Hoolahan came on we were down to smacking the ball upfield when we had it. Morison ploughs a lonely furrow upfield but he ends up near the corner flag and no one to pass to and what was the point of reintroducing Bennet to the line up when he was defending all the time. I'm sorry, IMHO the manager has to take the blame for surrendering before the start. I'm not moaning, just observing. Second half we at least made a fist of it and two of the goals were big mistakes (Ruddy for the 2nd and Hoolahan must learn not to dribble in HIS last third).
