The points gap is significant at this stage, but the goal difference is also telling. City have conceded more than double the amount of goals we have (17 in 12 games). Out GD is 3x theirs.
We all know what has happened before with gd and with points gaps. Win the game against them before worrying about this stuff. We don't score in 3s and 4s. City can and do so gd right now isn't a factor. Imo we need to fully exploit this now. The win v city is crucial.given the last 10 games we have
I don't mean GD in terms of being a differentiator of we're tied on points, but with regards to it reflecting how each team is currently performing. It indicates that City are not just dropping points through because unlucky, but rather they are just not very good at the moment.
Yeah I always find GD is a real tell of how a team has been. obviously points show how a team is doing but I think was couple years ago when United were 3rd or 4th but had a Gd that was tiny in comparison to others as they just snuck a few games through individual moments In fact just looked. 22/23 season city 94 goals scored. 61 GD Arsenal 88 goals scored 45 gd united 58 goals 15 gd Newcastle 68 goals 35 gd lfc 75 goals 28 gd Now not saying didn’t deserve 3rd but they weren’t s convincing 3rd where we’re blowing teams away.
Teams seem to have worked out how to play them in their current state. As long as we come through Madrid unscathed on the injury front, I think we can do City.
In that season both newcastle and utd broke the 70 point mark and we gave up imo after a bad result yet could have caught newcastle win 100% wins. We were just rotten in midfield and carried by salah. We are being carried by salah again right now. Funnily last season we were ina quad prior to injury and he just wasn't right coming back so we fell off the pace.
I think losing 5 indicates how bad they are right now. The gd point i get though. Its not like a couple of narrow results are in it. Yes they are 1-2s before the last 2 walloping but they are still letting in 2 per game
A special number two i think is more appropriate. In fact that's how he should be forever referred to please. The special number 2.
Yet, have you noticed, it's normally white people that get offended when the communities impacted do not. Let people decide for themselves if theyre offended rather than telling them what they should be offended by.
Regardless of what they are going through they have good players who will raise their game at Anfield They are older but very experienced They are wounded Someone will take a beating off them I can see the CL being beneficial to them this week and more negative to us. Winning is a habit All the games are important regardless of the comp imho Keep winning and people look at you different When we do lose (as it will happen) the game straight after is massive Sorry waffling Just happy to be away from all the football politics/business crap
I think personally yesterday will have a major impact. No tsimikas and a heavy wet pitch and chasing the game means robbo will be ****ed. Same for szobo. We play real at home on Wednesday They have played Saturday and will play Tuesday at home. Imo that 24 hours will be massive for city. City will be getting the team back together over the next 2 weeks but have a massive hole at cm. Thry won't need a big man against us mostly. Ederson Walker akanji gvardiol Stones gundogan Foden Kdb Silva grealish Haaland I can't believe that they will be as bad again They are like us last season when all the players came back half fit at once. if anything they are too reliant on gvardiol running on and this is now an issue as he has no cover. He could sit and they'd concede half the goals. Really it's all about replacing rodri and finding the right balance out wide.
