I first saw him in the preseason vs Portsmouth and told you in the first half that he was useless. He actually scored in the second half, nodding the ball into an empty net when Nearpost Norris went walkabout. Since then he's scored one, off his shoulder, and I don't think he's had a single shot in anger.
Ahadme has scored two goals so far this season, although one was in the wrong net. He reminds me a lot of Chris Iwelumo, another very limited and static front man, who has little in the way of attributes. Ipswich must be p issing their pants with laughter, for the second season running after we took Ladapo.
History shows that you need at least 70 league goals plus in a season to reach the Play Offs. Birmingham and maybe Wrexham could score 100 plus, but it’s inconceivable with our current players we are going to score anything like 70 league goals. Miles Leaburn may get 15 but who else in our squad will break double figures ?
Leaburn will be lucky to get 10, him coming back from injury and receiving worse service than the Bromley South Wetherspoons.
Here’s how many the promoted & play off teams in League One scored last season. Does anyone think our team will come anywhere close to these numbers ?
We looked much better without Ahadme today. I feel that a fully fit Leaburn with Godden could be a potent strike force. We need to stick with the same formation. It suited our team.
We didn’t miss Ahadme at all. I think he’s destined to play the role of sub at most this season. Incidentally, what a player Ramsey is turning out to be. He looks a cut above third tier football.
Matty Godden was fulsome in his praise of Kanu, really enjoys playing with him. He looked a far better player than Stansfield, let alone Ahadme. What on earth do we do with Ahadme when Leaburn is fully fit? An embarrassment to the recruitment process.
Thought he had a good game apart from shooting when he should have squared to Anderson. A huge improvement on Ahadme.
Fair to say that Ipswich have evened up the score for us getting Bent, Hermann and Holland on the cheap.
She knows her stuff. I am not being arrogant here but I am a pretty good judge of a player and I could see from two or three games that he wasn’t up to it. One goal this season and that came off his shoulder.
We also knew it as well. When I saw that montage posted by the global moderator of Adhadme it was absolutely clear that this was a very limited player. The fact that Global championed him at all rang alarm bells with me. I wouid not trust him to pick his nose.
Had Alfie stayed he would have bagged at least 7-9 goals this season. What a monumental cock up by the club. Decisions like that have set this club back an entire season possible more and nobody has taken responsibility.
