Can’t stand them either - that stems from them ripping the heart from our side when they bought Scotty Parker from us

We don’t buy players to get us promoted. We buy Luton cast offs, Players that Ipswich don’t want. None of these players are going to get us promoted.

    Yes, I would.

If CAFC was ever bought by a Foreign Government that supports murderers like Hamas I would disown the Club in disgust.
I wouldn't even tolerate Charlton if they became the plaything of a couple of Hollywood actors.
We're a proud community Club. Not a toy.

Of course every Club has different circumstances and some will naturally have access to more resources than others.
But not to the obscene degree that we now see in the Premier League.
Newcastle United and Manchester City are the worst examples, as they are run with blood money.
But any trophy or honour bought rather than earned is not worth having in my view.

...and when they made us play on a desert without prior warning, so we couldn’t change our boots
.....and when they nicked Kasey wotsisname after he played a blinder against them in the Youth Cup.

15 games into a 3 year contract, ouch.
How far Leicester have fallen since they were Champions of England.

Pep Guardiola adds a new dimension to the old expression "Can't buy a win" :emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash::emoticon-0164-cash: :emoticon-0172-mooni

    Plymouth Argyle - ouch <doh>
When is the Football world going to wake up to the fact that Wazza is a useless granny-grabbing twat with a doormat glued to the top of his head.

When we were kids and wandered upon some vacant playing fields we occasionally played 1 v 1 on a full sized pitch <laugh>

That wears you out pretty quick <doh>

I used to play football in a street. Also there was an alley at the bottom of my parents house. We played football with my Brother and friends all the time.

    I've always thought Charlton & the surrounding area doesn't do too badly for parks & green spaces;
    Maryon
    Maryon Wilson
Charlton park & Charlton House grounds
    Woolwich Common
    Hornfair park
    Blackheath
    Greenwich Park
    The Rectory field
That bit down near the Thames Barrier where East Street used to be...

I lived in Malyons Road, Ladywell (now Ladywell Village!). Brilliant place to live, dead end street finishing at Ladywell Rec, so we could walk down the road and straight into the park without crossing any roads, knocking on doors to pick friends up for a game of football. Martin Simons (ex Charlton Chair) was a brilliant footballer who played for Lewisham Schools under 11s for 2 years a rare achievement. Would probably have been scouted these days, but he went off to City Of London on a Scholarship where the played rugby and cricket.

Massive gamble by Coventry City, hiring Frank Lampard.

I think they are going to regret it.
