The same performance now , on rinse & repeat. Leaky at the back, sterile in the middle, impotent up front. As predicted, we needed a penalty to score 2 wins in 12 under Jones in the league now - it’s massively not good enough, even by this club’s recent standards. Methven, Rodwell, Scott & Jones - please fvck off, we have all had enough of this now .
We don’t go anywhere unfortunately. Let’s hope Charlie boy doesn’t get his wish of reducing the running costs down to a million a season.
Ahadme’s missed chance - a header from a yard out - was typical of where we are at. We give away a proven 23 goal a season scorer , and replace him with a dud like Ahadme. May scored loads of chances like that last season, Ahadme scores today as he should have done, and it’s 2-2. And does anyone on ITTV still think Docherty / Coventry is an upgrade on George Dobson ?
I think it is. We are way behind teams with better quality players. I also expect Wigan,Blackpool, Rotherham and Stevenage to finish above us.
I agree with the comments from Peter Varney. The reality with Charlton at present is that it is very unlikely the team will score more than one goal - the stats for this season tell their own story. As usual some fans will see yet another managerial change as the answer but what are all the now regular managerial changes achieving? There are key structural issues that need to be addressed if things are to change.
Major clear out required yet again and once again we are saying this before Christmas. The SMT have majorly failed as has Jones. We just need all to leave and the last to turn off the lights
We need new people from top to bottom and those come in to have genuine ambition something these chancers obviously do not have
Not only have we bought a load of old rubbish Ahadme, Docherty etc we have put them on long contracts. It seems we keep on compounding errors made. So now we have crap players on long contracts, At least we can get rid of Campbell, Potts, Hylton in January as well as Aneke in the summer. But who would trust Jones or Scott in bringing in anything better?
