Alisson not playing on Sunday. Elliot back in training. https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/lf...nold-alisson-chiesa-elliott-jota-and-van-dijk
This is serious case of first goal is crucial I can't see them go do anything but collapse if we get it. I am guessing they will go 541 Mccarthy in goal Walker Peters (decent) Harwood bellis (very.decent) Stephenson (woeful) Wood?? Manning (journeyman) Aribo Lallana Armstrong Fernandes Archer We will see maybe ugocukwu instead of lallana Like they are not that awful, just try to play a game that's beyond them in the prem and they can be caught passing it about at the back. They beat Everton so should at least be trying
All supposedly doing whatever and soon to be in some training. Kelleher Bradley konate vvd tsimikas Gravenberch jones Salah szoboszlai gakpo Nunez. Robertson,.macallister, Diaz and gomez.as subs?
Downes will play if fit. Lallana and Aribo are usually the two who rotate in midfield as neither are good for 90 mins. God help us if Downes isn't fit as Ugochukwu has looked awful and well off the standard required. I think with Bednarek's injury he would normally look to change to a 4 but unsure if he will against you lot. Either of Wood/Edwards coming in terrifies me tbh. If he does change to a 4 then I expect Sugawara to come in at RB with KWP moving over to the left. Manning in front of him to double up on Salah. This would probably be my preferred option as though not ideal it's better than one the aforementioned CB's coming in. Btw we really are that awful. Like really bad. Derby's record under serious threat this season. 0-3 no matter who plays as with the games coming up you won't bother pushing for a hammering but will opt to conserve energy.
Worst thing is that given the weather down here if we had a sensible manager willing to adapt then it could have been a leveller of sorts and given us a slight chance of getting something. But we don't and he won't so I fully expect us to make it incredibly easy for you and give you a couple of goals on a plate. Really not looking forward to going today tbh. Especially as there's bound to be loads of you lot all around the home ends with so many STH's not going and selling their tickets back.
I just came on to say the weather will be awful and could be a leveller if you play to it…..we certainly always cough up a few chances. The incentive for an 8 point gap should be enough in any case.
We have only hammered one side all season. Bizarrely bayer leverkusen. The best result we have got is 3-0 v Bournemouth at home. We don't do going for goal so you need to stick in and not give up. Forest showed the way imo. Defend well, don't be drawn out, counter fast
How many of those teams play about 300 passes between their keeper and CBs and cough up multiple chances per game? Cos that's what we'll do lol. As for the way Forest showed: Defend well - we're currently averaging just under 2 goals conceded a match and Martin has never shown the ability to coach a defence. Conceded 63 goals in 46 games last season with arguably the best defenders in the championship. Don't get drawn out - we actually do this well at times and did so away to City and Arsenal but can get overconfident at times and pick the wrong moments. However you won't need to draw us out as mentioned above, just press us in our own third and we'll give up plenty of opportunities. Counter fast - - we'll get to halfway and then recycle back to the keeper giving you the opportunity to put us under pressure again.
As you can tell I'm not very optimistic today to say the least. Don't even think QPR Ted could help get us a result
7 goals in 11 matches and we'll suddenly score 4 in one match against the best side in the league? Absolutely I'd take it though. I'll be happy if we manage 4 corners
That’s why I think 0-0 If you frustrate us - I could see it happening Or we could just have a day like we did against Forest It happens - and we are due one
