I have to admit, I honestly think we 'should' be higher up the table having watched each game. Even before the international break I said I'd give TW until Christmas because I'm seeing enough to show we 'should' be picking up more points. I'll also admit I thought some of this 'click' we've been waiting for would have started to happen more by now, but just like every other game we've played "the better team" lost today yet again. I think it's unfortunate for Walter as we all know where this is going for him, but another game goes by with nothing to show for it today and although I don't think he's entirely responsible for this situation, the reality of it is we're now in the bottom 3 and we're not picking up points.
Every man and his dog knows Kamara plays his best football on the right wing, but we like the inverted wingers. Wally is so rigid it’s unbelievable. He’s been fairly crap on the left so change it. Do something, change something, because whatever this is, it’s not working and it’s boring and predictable.
Also while I’m at it, why play 3 tackling midfielders? And why constantly play Omur on the right, he’s been crap all year, he played his best football for Rosie in the middle. Give him a free role. Honestly I’m sick of this robotic horse crap boring football. It’s like he sets the players up which way to pass the ball from goal kicks all the way up the pitch. Horrendous.
Kamara is left footed. He likes to come in off the right. Alrhough I agree it seems bizarre he won’t play Kamara in his supposed preferred position and let the lad gain some confidence when we are so short of options
Colleague of mine is a pompey fan and he said this happened there. Forced him onto the left played average. Minute he switched flanks he came alive.
Other than the gift we gave them and a brief scramble in our box at the start of the second half which didn’t really come to anything clear cut, I can't recall any instances where I thought "Luton should have scored there". Yet Pedro missed two sitters and Bedia missed one too where I'm left thinking, "It must have been harder to miss that than finish it". They were all well worked chances as well, nothing like what we saw heading towards our own goal.
Don't see it. Last few minutes perhaps. Otherwise it was fairly even but they looked more clinical where it matters.
I agree about the clinical aspect. But if we had been clinical we probably are walking away from this with a 2-1 win
Makes a lot of mistakes. Potentially a player there but needs to improve big time to justify the step up from League One. He's part of a team in freefall. The worst form in the league. In a relegation spot. Am I wrong?
Agree with this. He's got something about him for sure, but he needs to settle down and stay focused sometimes. Definitely has mistakes in him.
At the same time I don’t know how you’d expect him alone to pull the team up from CB. We can’t entirely judge him for the players around him. Does make mistakes but I’d expect that of a 20 year old finding his feet. Greaves was the same.
