I don't watch any news channels, nor do I read any newspapers. This snippet came from an elderly friend who lives in Newport. If it is true, it is yet another show of disdain for those who have toiled and paid in for decades.

There's some thick gullible ****ers. Govt: We had no choice but to take money off pensioners to balance the books. Same Govt: We encourage everyone that can to claim their allowances to keep them out of poverty, If everyone did as the Government claim they can, it'd cost more than the fuel allowance. Govt: We need to claw back half a billion off the farmers, but it won't affect many of them. Same Govt: We're giving half a billion to foreign farms. Same Govt: Dished out billions to already very well paid train drivers. You've got to be some sort of totally one eyed ****wit to swallow the guff from this shower of **** and believe it's anything to do with balancing books..
Government: We shouldn't be giving free money to rich pensioners. We'll help poor pensioners get the money they should be paid, even if it costs more.
