Ba does lose possession but he can also skin players and create chances. As well as fresh legs, it can change the momentum which was against us all second half. Hindsight is 20-20 but I bet a lot of people wanted a sub on in the last 5/10 mins.

    You're spot on here.

One thing that is becoming blatantly obvious is that RLB needs to trust that the players to understand their roles well before trusting them with minutes on the pitch, this has meant we are selecting from a small pool of players, he has to start introducing more players like Aleksic, Ba, Aouchiche etc in order for him to be comfortable playing them when we need options.

Mate I rate Adil, but he's clearly a 10 and we don't need a 10 that won't defend, Ba is an enigma as he has loads of skill, but plays like he's never seen a team meeting or a tactics board.

Johnson is a good prospect, but he is a centre half that fills in at right back.

The back 4 did bloody well today right until the end, if Alesic had out his foot through that chance Millwall wouldn't even have had the chance to score.

When the 6 players missing are back, then subs can be made that slot straight in, but today we didn't have that option

Neither team was lucky, that result was deserved. Yet again we’ve sat back second half and let a team attack us at will. They had 62% possession, 11 shots to our 9, 10 corners to our 2. But we outplayed them? :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Some might of for sure, we were crying out for some energy tho and that's what Ba brings. We weren't holding onto the ball anyway so we wouldn't have been any worse off

Tbh my comments are more a reflection of the season so far, I really don't like when managers don't use the bench to change the flow of a game. It's the only thing I can have a go at RLB for as hes been class since coming in. If we don't start using subs better it could kill our season

Jan is def massive as we need to bring a few in to improve the squad which should then help RLB

your right mate, but like Mogga said the other night, he can only play who he is told can play.
And REPEAT how many times did numb nuts give the ball away AGAIN.

AA was not the play when we’re sitting in there we lose all defensive shape

had Onien not stepped out at the end we win 1-0

that’s the difference. The subs haven’t cost that the mistake has. If he doesn’t step out we don’t even mention that

we sit back it’s how we play. It’s the reason we have 32 points and 9 clean sheets?

last two games we’ve made mistakes and got punished yes. But for the large majority of games we haven’t we’ve seen them out. I think a big factor is jobe in the middle mind as to why we’ve struggled to see out games but that’s a different conversation.

our bad patch has us still top 2 minimum dependant on Leeds result and unbeaten in 9. Especially today when 6 out of the 7 on the bench today played for the under 21s this season

Are we really questioning RLB when we are top of the league? I mean that bench was pretty poor today. Nothing against anyone on the bench but Aouchiche and Ba haven't kicked a ball in anger in the league this season.

I expected a defeat today potentially a heavy one so am actually pretty happy with a point yes im a bit disappointed with the manner of it.

People screaming why didn't we bring him on or him on need to look at the picture of the game. Yes they had a lot of territory but we were dealing with them pretty well. If Aleksic puts his chance away we win 2-0. I'm not blaming him before anyone jumps on that I actually thought he was decent.

We've just gone away to the form team in the league with 5 definite starters out and come 2 mins away from a brilliant victory.

I think we need a bit of perspective.

Oh and we are still top of the league. (Tonight anyway)

I know you're talking about Neil here, the answer is 4 times (3 misplaced passes and 1 tackle), which was the least amount of any of our starting players.

Seems strange to target him after he was perfectly fine today. Rigg lost the ball 23 (TWENTY THREE) times today for comparison.

Well with Jobe back and hopefully a bit of relief from injuries we might be out of this awful little period relatively unscathed

Unfortunately when we don’t make subs and throw games away late on it’ll get mentioned irregardless of our league position. I’m not being funny but how brain dead is not making substitutions to waste time in injury time? Every other team do it, even the likes of Liverpool/City etc but we don’t.

Think of it this way, with better game management and earlier subs in the last two games we’d be 4 points better off.

I assume that Dan Neil your referring to?

Quality commentary on how he played, really analysed his good and bad points from today.

Unless your referring to Rigg? Who also struggled to get his passing right?

Nothing wrong questioning a manager for not using his bench when we concede a late goal after being under the cosh for the 2nd half. Would it have guaranteed us 3 points if we made subs, of course not, we might even had got zero points from making more subs

The concern people are raising is the lack of using the bench, which we haven't used all season. Now it's not had a massive impact on us as we are top of the league, and will it have an issue on us going forward, who knows.

I'm hoping this is just our bad patch but we have to start using our bench better when players are back fit
