Timbertech are decent mate. I've got a timbertech airbrush, though mine is a gravity feed one, decent for the price...better than the one that came with my compressor. Since I bought the Harder & Steenbeck ultra, I now use it for airbrushing clear coats, varnishes etc. I've never used a syphon feed brush, so no idea what they're like.
Got the Land Rover finished last night. Couple of pics of the interior and bodyshell. I've never seen a Defender look like that, so decided to pimp it up (or down) a bit.
Nice model mate brings back memories , bit of a love hate relationship tbh . I love the work horse image but the mechanics were horrendous.
And the speed, took me 10 hrs to get from Leicester to ayr to pick a boar up. Slowest thing I’ve ever driven.
Rather than derail the thread I mentioned on it earlier, I’ll post on here. I am not racist (I know that’s how racists usually start). I have absolutely no problem with controlled immigration. Here’s my situation. My mother had been in a home now for 10 weeks with worsening dementia. At 66 (she’s 90 now) she was forced to retire after paying into the system all her life. She still had around £4000 on her mortgage which me and my siblings paid off so she could manage. I had a financial assessment call from some government official. The “good” news is, she’s only got to pay £860 A WEEK for the next couple of weeks. Mid December, it goes up to £1060 a week. I mentioned taking the money which we were “owed” out of her account. I was asked if I had any proof of paying her mortgage off. Of course, being 25 years ago, I hadn’t. Upshot of this is, her savings will be used until they run out, which won’t be long. Then we’ll have to sell her house. When this runs out, she’ll get free care. I’m honestly not bothered about not being left anything, none of us are, but it beggars belief that folk are being taken better care of than our own pensioners. There’ll be a few folk on here who may be offended by this view, but in my view, it’s common sense.
Same thing happened with my grandad. Cost him thousands. Though couldnt take the house off him cos my grandma was still living there. Then recently, my father in law went in one. Hes rented all his life, has 10k in the bank so only has to pay £185 a week which leaves him with about £50 a week floating about from his pension. Money, which he doesnt really need as he gets food and warmth from the home. It pays having next to nowt when youre old.
Aye, you pay into the system all your life, but they’ll get it back one way or another. We’ve managed for a few years between us to look after me Mam, but she needs 24/7 care now and it takes its toll. She’s safe, well fed and looked after in there, so we’re happy. What annoys me is the fact that several governments could, and should have sorted the boat problem out years ago. God knows how many billions of pounds it takes to cater for them.
Nice job mate, especially on the weathering I used to have the same landrover s3 109 Safari but in green What kit is it ? Ps, forgot to post this when I wrote it lol
It's a Revell kit, its meant to be a sage green colour, but just done it in blue. It was £20 when I bought it about two years ago.
You won’t believe this but after getting him back and using him for about six weeks I got him tested and he was infertile, they replaced him but I sent another lad up to get it.
There's a very old newspaper article I'll have to dig out of an interview with my great grandfather, He was a pig farmer and he was complaining that people couldn't cure a pig in this day and age
Before I retired and moved up the Lakes we used to have huge bbq’s for friends. I would just shoot a pig a couple of days before half it, take it home and cook it
FFS !!! Football Focus today - Three 'Experts' which include, no white face, and two females... This is just Wow!!! I shouldn't have to say this because I feel strong about something, but - " I'm sorry if I sound like I'm offending anyone." Rant over...
I just went to have a look and some woman, called Vicki Sparks, was explaining what I needed to know about the Everton game
