Get real, we're talking about Gaza, you're talking about the captured land above the Golan Heights where the Arabs were shelling them constantly. And i don't blame them, attack them, and you get it back in spades, learn to be civilised if you can
Look up the Mandate for Palestine, you'll find that Gaza is part of Palestinian territory. Gaza was captured by Israel during the six day war in 1967, that doesn't make it rightful Israeli territory. It's Palestinian territory, that would have become Palestinian State if the Oslo accords had been ratified. On those accords, you say that Palestinians 'repeatedly broke' the agreements. It was actually on both sides, Hamas and right wing Israeli's including Ben Givr who is now in Netanyahu's cabinet, who would never accept the accords. You might remember that right wing opposition to the accords led to the assassination of Yitzak Rabin. Also Israel were instructed to withdraw militarily from Gaza and didn't, and continued raids into land under PA administration.
The bolded bit. This has been the problem all along, and not just with the Israel war. People are constantly quoting the past. The past has gone, the past is no longer relevant in regards to land. It's much like Archers quibbed, I blame the Romans. It's a bit like me asking why is Piskie occupying Cornwall, he stole land that belonged to druids...utter nonsense. Also we should remember that history is often a disjointed version of events dependent on the views of the occupying humans past and present. The human mind has a lot to answer for when it comes to history and the wars it creates. It's like me arguing that Ukraine rightly belongs to Russia or more so the USSR, but brb recognises he is living in the past rather than the present, and quite rightly I accept that I'm wrong in the modern era, it don't change my view, but I accept the contrary arguments are right, which is a step in the right direction or is it if it creates war? On the 7th October 2023, Hamas massacred hundreds of people, not because of the land, not because of history but because of their stupid hatred and evil minds....and like that fatal day, historically like Israel declaring war on Hamas, the past will forever pollute the present, because those affected will never forget, unless we change our ways of thinking, we can't btw, because we are human. I want all the wars to stop but they won't because just like in here humans pick sides and often can't see beyond their own selfish views in life. I often look around this forum and I can't believe the amount of negativity and hate projected by some. Solutions can never be sought with hate, it just creates more hate, more negativity and some in here thrive on it, mentioning no names. Amen
learn history, Gaza belongs to Egypt and was given to Israel Israel only moved troops back into Gaza because the Arabs kept attacking them, as usual they always provoke then cry when hit back, why didnt Jordan want them because they are trouble makers Black September: The Jordanian-PLO Civil War of 1970 ThoughtCo https://www.thoughtco.com › ... › The Middle East The PLO Is Thrown Out of Jordan. You can't really ignore the historical context though, otherwise you could argue that Israel shouldn't even have been created in the first place and the whole land is Palestinian. Or you could argue the Israelites and Judea have right to the land. Or that the long gone Canaanites should have it back lol I just think you have to look at the current context. You have Palestinians and Israelis, they both call it home and there has to be a way where they can both have land, equal rights and the ability to live in peace with each other. I know that seems like a million miles away right now.
This is just you picking a particular point in history and then trying to form the basis of absolutes from it. Like I've said, it's a gross over simplification of the context of the region.
you are picking points in history but fail to check the facts Palestine as you call it was a name given by the Romans The Jews were kicked out of their homelands because they Resisted their occupation check on Masada Masada Tourist Israel https://www.touristisrael.com › masada-dead-sea please log in to view this image Masada is an ancient fortress occupying a location high on a flat plateau above the Dead Sea – and also a symbol of determination and heroism. Well this is what I mean, the historical context of the region is so complex that it's impossible to pick out a moment in time and draw absolute conclusions from it. I just think we have a situation now where, somehow you have to find an equitable solution for both parties. And that has to be a two state solution
I'm not worried about it. You asked who was happy about it, I said I wasn't, that don't project worry, because I know once Putin does that, he will be gone in the next missile, so we'll be doing the world a favour, sacrifising our lives to free Ukraine from the chains of the past...well once the nuclear fall out has cleared in unknown period of time.
I've seen that RFK video before. The grubby arms dealers are always the winners. Blackrock don't own those companies though.
