You miss the one key factor driving all of this.

Israel are an illegal occupying force, who have enacted an apartheid state of repression upon Palestine

then you would know the Gaza was owned by the Egyptians, who didn't want it and gave it to Britain who in turn gave it to Israel, WHO IN TURN LET THE ARABS SETTLE IT IN A PEACE AGREEMENT NOT TO CAUSE MORE TROUBLE. Which they have broken umpteen times, so by rights the Jews have every right to take it back .

1994: Gaza under Palestinian Authority The Israeli forces left Gaza City and other urban areas, leaving the new Palestinian Authority to administer and police those areas. The Palestinian Authority, led by Yasser Arafat, chose Gaza City as its first provincial headquarters

    1994

In 1994 Israel began a phased transfer of governmental authority in the Gaza Strip to the Palestinian Authority (PA) under the terms of the Oslo Accords that were signed by Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).

You can't be an occupying force and an apartheid state in the same area of land at the same time.

You've either occupied a state that isn't yours, or it is your state but it is one with institutionalised discrimination.

Fascinating how many people don't comprehend this.

<laugh> the UN and the application of International Law are just products of 'radicalisation'...

Back in the unblinkered world - the Israeli occupation of, and settlements in, the West Bank are illegal under International Law ... even the ****ing Americans say so ...

Also fascinating how many supporters of the current Israeli regime blindly reject the flagrant disregard for International Law ... whilst the rest of the world calls it what it is ...

Well, there's a gross over simplification and misunderstanding of the situation.

It depends on how far you want to go back, but Palestine has been under various 'rule' from the Cannanites, right through to the Ottoman empire, before the Balfour declaration, which was undertaken under the direction of the league of nations. Britain didn't 'give' Palestine to Israel, they created a homeland for the Jews in Palestine, which led to massive Jewish immigration and tensions between Arabs and Jews and the mandate was terminated in 1947. From that point the UN recommended the partition plan, which massively disadvantaged the Palestinians in favour of Israel and Arabs rejected it. Since that point, the inception of Israel, they have encroached further and further into Palestinian territory, claiming territory either through military force or settlement.

It was never Israel's to be 'loaned' back. The two remaining parts of Palestinian land, Gaza and the West Bank have always been there under the premise that they form the basis of an independent Palestinian state, in a two state solution. The Oslo accords were never ratified and since then further encroachment by settlers, along with illegal occupation, blockades, curfews, and repression of Palestinians in their own land, has led to ever increasing tension, which bred the likes of Hamas.

What's needed now, is for the likes of Netanyahu and Hamas to be removed from the picture and to get back to establishing a two state solution, where at the very least, Gaza and the West Bank, along with part of Jerusalem becomes a bona fide Palestinian state. We're a million miles from that right now, because Israel want to wipe Palestine from the map and occupy all of it.

Netanyahu thinks this will bring peace for Israel, when it's going to achieve the exact opposite.

all you mention about occupation in the past was won in war. How can it be Palestine land When they only moved in 1994 at the discretion of the Jews. if you want to go that far back in history, you have Moses and King David before anyone else. The Arabs want to exterminate the Jews just like Hitler by any means, and you support them, if they stopped slaughtering Jews they wouldn't bring their wrath upon on themselves, as they declared war on the Jews in
1948–49, 1956, 1967, 1973, 1982, 2006, and 2023–present. If they want peace, then they shouldn't attack they were planning an attack for years with the tunnels and rockets besides hospitals, don't tell me about their crocodile tears for the kids when they were nothing more than human shields to them. It amazes me how grown arsed men can be taken in by them, if they attacked my family who were at a music festival and hacked babies to death in their cots, they would get reciprocal treatment, and you want mercy for them. The same slime who deprived their own people of aid to keep their own personal war going and to live in luxury.

I blame people engaging mouth before brain When all it takes is a reading up on 1994,and what happened to the other Arabs kicked out of Jordan, by their own Arab race, who in turn invaded Christians in Lebanon

Like I said mate, your assessment is a gross over simplification, and it's clear you're either too blinkered or simply don't understand the wider historical context of the region.

Kind of pointless trying to debate it with you really <ok>

A complicated issue and you keep wanting to bring the past up but don't like it when it proves you wrong, to stop them murdering Jews they pulled 10 thousand Jewish civilians out of Gaza and let the Palestinians settle there under the Oslo accord which they have repeatedly broken, and you have no answer as to why they murder their own then blame the Jews

Well it doesn't prove me wrong, that's the point really.

Gaza was already home to the Palestinians before the Oslo accords, so Israel didn't 'let them settle' there.

Your whole premise is skewed completely out of the reality of the situation.
