I mean when you put it like that it was a risk worth taking haha, more frustrated than anything because it would be an ideal time to bring him in right now, I’ll stop clogging up the match thread with signing chat now though! still plenty talent taking to the field Saturday
So does that mean its now 4 to 6 weeks considering its nearly 2 weeks ago since their injuries? 8 weeks sounds like a long time to recover from a Hamstring injury. Correct me if im wrong??
Nah. The judgement has been made, 16 games into a 46 game season. Samed is ****e, a crock and Speakman has been made a fool of. The people have spoken
Don’t think that’s what people are saying people are saying it’s been a poor signing (to this point) we were all rightfully excited when he came in with good pedigree and we’ve not seen him kick a ball, his return dates gone from 2 weeks to after the international break twice, it’s frustrating especially now we’re short in that area going into a rammed fixture list that’s all, I might have jumped the gun saying id be tempted to sack it off and look for someone else in Jan but wouldn’t be surprised if that wasn’t in the back of people at the clubs minds too
I wouldn't say it's a "poor signing" because he comes with a good pedigree, we've just had some rotten luck with this injury.
The whole thing baffles me to be honest. Injuries happen at every club, have always been part of football and always will be. People seem to get so wound up with RLB's estimations about recovery times or what we're paying loanees ... ... yet would happily risk millions on Kieffer Moore. Surely the club has earned the right to bring in players who've had injury problems or who'll take time to adjust. A bit like Jack Clarke for example ...
It’s poor so far because he’s played zero minutes, he could come in and be the perfect anchor in midfield we don’t know, hopefully the ‘on the pitch mid December’ means games and not the training pitch, hard to tell the context when it wasn’t shown on the stream I guess
What seems to happen is that RLB will be asked, in the post match interview, the extent of an injury. He'll say what he thinks but it's now cast in stone. Any deviation, from that initial estimation, is greeted with suspicion and questions. No one can give an accurate return date when anything more than a seven day injury is involved. Can't we just think 'they're fit when they're fit' and concentrate on the available players and upcoming match.
Apparently (according to the genuii over the road) the medical staff "don't know what they're doing" and that is evidenced by the fact that some of the injured players take longer to recover than the initial estimates which are apparently legally binding.
They seem to believe they're being cheated and lied to by the club ... ... they really do think that the £30, they pay to watch the match, makes them shareholders who are entitled to detailed explanations on every aspect of the club.
I have absolutely no idea what team we will play tomorrow, can't remember us being so depleted even taking into account the first season in the Championship. I'd be tempted to play three at the back with O9, Mepham and Ballard. Cirkin left wingback...no idea on right wingback however. As long as Isidor starts up front and we can get a decent supply to him we have a chance of scoring.
That's true of course but you could flip that and say that all of these players have returned to bolster the squad ... ... not to mention Alese, Mayenda, etc. As you say we're always capable of scoring goals and, as Millwall struggle with that, it gives us a good chance of a result.
