Pearson blathering about renegotiating the lease terms and conditions on Sportstalk Q and A. Presumably he means paying less.Where will the difference come from? No chance of them building a new stadium either according to Pearson,
Nearly a million quid with basic rent and then the additional bits, about 800k from memory, plus they pay for the academy and scholarships to train amd play somewhere else. A stadium would pay for itself if done right like Hull KR are doing. Office blocks, education centres, 4g pitches for rent, concerts and events.
I'd pretty much agree with you OLM. But when I said that can't be right. I was told it was, 100%, and this guy is pretty much clued up with most things Hull FC, and he used to be a Govt tax inspector for the HMC&R. Has they can't be relegated, it's a bit of a non-topic, unless the governing body changes the rules.
They can be relegated. The next round of franchising would have been dangerous for them whilst Pearson was in charge but thankfully for the fans he is gone.
But Pearson said on the Q & A tonight that they are going to negotiate better terms on an extended lease when the current one expires in 3 years and there is no chance they will be building their own stadium due cost, lack of a suitable site, overcoming objections from local residents…
Pearson will be gone apparently but regardless you don't tell your current landlords you're planning to bugger off until you have something sorted.
I wonder if Acun has 'had a chat' with Pearson with regards replacing Tan, given his experience and connection with us
Pearson staying on as a consultant. I would have thought threatening to bugger off would help in negotiations to improve the terms of their agreement. TWT but Imdon’t expect to be seeing FC in their own stadium.

Harsh but true. While FC were feasting at the top table with back to back Challenge Cup wins Rervers were living off scraps.
There's not much chance of anybody building a new stadium. The KC cost circa £46 million I'd be surprised if you could build the stadium today for £120 million .
